DON'T SHOW THIS TO MY LIST!!! How to regain e-mail sanity...

On a lot of lists?

If you have gmail (and you damn well better), here is a simple way to filter out the lists so you can still be on them but not have to see them every time you open your e-mail.

Simple and easy. Regain your sanity by filtering out the marketers!

    Why?

If you don't want to see them, why not unsubscribe? Or, if you want to stay on the list, why not subscribe under a separate eMail address?

Dan's content is irregularly read by handfuls of people. Join the elite few by reading his blog: dcrBlogs.com, following him on Twitter: dcrTweets.com or reading his fiction: dcrWrites.com but NOT by Clicking Here!

Dan also writes content for hire, but you can't afford him anyway.

Because gmail is the best e-mail service in the world. They have better spam filtering and more features than any other service I've used thus far including hotmail, Yahoo mail and all the other major providers.

And as far as unsubscribing goes, wouldn't it be nice to have something in between that? That's what this video is about.

You don't unsubscribe, you just put it in a folder for later so you can view it whenever you like. Perfect for lists you like but don't love!

        EXACTLY.

Most e-mails I get from marketers are like this.

They are not spam but they are basically grey mail, in other words, they are not so good that I open them ASAP but I still want to hear about them from time to time.

This is perfect if you just want to filter down your inbox so you are in control of what lands there but can still be on people's lists.

Yea this is great. Apart from the other benefits, this also gives you a place to get subject line swipes at a glance.

If you don't want to see them, why not unsubscribe? Or, if you want to stay on the list, why not subscribe under a separate eMail address?
Don't just unsubscribe from good marketers' lists because it's great education to study their marketing style.
