Promote my classifieds site with social sites?

I have a free classifieds site (w/fanpage) and I would like to promote it using social media, like facebook, twitter, google ads, youtube, etc.

What techniques can I use to promote my site so that more people post free ads?

For example, I was thinking of giving away free stuff (ie. a free dinner daily) but I have no idea how to do this successfully.

I just want a push in the right direction and a plan on how to grow.

    You can get your website to rank in Google using SEO. All you have to do is pick the keyword you want to rank for, and get more backlinks to the site then your competitors.
