Do You Have A Daily Internet Marketing Routine?

Are you like most people who simply do a lot of internet marketing work on their website at first and then just let it sit there? Or do you have a daily routine that you go by to ensure you're making a little bit of progress each day? If so, what is your routine? I was thinking about writing 20 forum posts, 1 guest blog / article post and 5 link love comments each day. Does that sound reasonable?

I have daily goals, but I don't exactly have a routine. I scatter the work throughout the day, and usually get it all done.

My daily routine is assist others and make sure my websites are running with no issues (+updates). I do some other work now and then but nothing that is scheduled for every day. Though I participate on other forums.

Yes, I put my right hand in, I put my right hand out, I put my right hand in,
And I shake it all about, I do the hokey pokey and I turn myself around.
    That what IM's all about.

Joke's aside, yes that sounds relevant...but it is also dependent on what your objectives are. Action without strategy is futile.

It depends on what you're looking to achieve will define what you do day-to-day.

A good rule of thumb is have a definable goal to reach, then break the goal down into daily tasks deconstructed in such a way that you achieve your goal in a given time frame.

After you achieve your goal, then rinse & repeat

    Hello, Affiliatecopywriter.

I believe you are on the right path here. I think to really make a success of yourself, as with anything else in life, you need to apply a consistent effort. The amount of work you can do each day will vary by how much time you have. It really depends on what you goals are. For example, if you just created a new authority website, and you want to start promoting it, you can create a list of 1 guest post, 1 blog comment, ect. and make it manageable so you can do it each day.

Personally, I use a spiral notebook because I find it harder to accomplish the tasks if I have them on a file on my computer. You definitely want to make sure you are making a little bit of progress each day, that is really the only way to build a strong online business, unless you have an endless amount of money to hire VA's to do these tasks for you, but based on the question at hand, you don't.

My typical daily tasks are entirely dependent on what I am working on. Personally, I will work on the same project for a few months at a time. It depends on what I am doing. I never have more than one project going at one time because with even just two projects your can spread yourself too thin. So I like to be able to focus all of my attention and effort on one single project. You sound like you are on a the right track.

Work out a daily list of tasks that will get you to where you want to be in terms of your project completion, and roll with it. Good luck.

    Oliver

I don't do the same thing everyday.

However, I have a list of tasks that I need to accomplish everyday. I write down what I need to do the next day and check them off as I complete them.

Not all task can be routine . While we might need improve different everyday like , we might wish to increase SERP and do more quality backlink, Increase conversion rate by doing some promo , increase visitors by doing more ads.
Example like : Email Blaster, SMS Blaster, Exisitng customers newsletter, blog post which i wont do it everyday . Might be just twice per week.

For backlink, i usually set myself to do 30 like forum posting, blog comment , submit directories, submit classified and some social media .

Try don'y spend routine tasks spend your entire day while internet marketing do have lot of way to improve and not always depend on the same methods.

yes sure, you'll have internet marketing routine activity on a daily basis, but actually I don't really like something that's routine but something big is built from something routine and I know that.. lol.

So, I prefer to do the routine activity until some period of time after that I will outsource the routine that can be outsourced.

my routine is SEO, checking ranking, completing my marketing campaigns action plan. That's it. THe rest like content , I think it's outsourced , ...

Yes, I think it's vitally important to have set goals in place to keep me focused. Not only that, but simply writing out my daily schedule beforehand gives me much more motivation to get those tasks done no matter what. I set 30 day challenges for myself that have yielded some really fantastic results.

I wrote a quick blog post for this months 30 day challenge that you may get some useful tips from...

Yes, regular blog working is important if you really want your site to perform good in this situation of frequent google updates. In my experience I feel it is essential to give importance for both off page and on page seo works in daily routine of blog works. Make sure you are not over doing it. Everyone has their own purpose to develop blog so daily routine of blog works differs accordingly.

It's a great idea to have a system in place so that nothing slips through the cracks. Consistency is the key. I heard a great quote, "What you do every day is more important that what you do once in a while." Remembering this quote helps me keep plugging away, knowing the results are coming.

      Thanks for the reminder!

Best is take an hour on sunday afternoon (if u have the time or a differnt time iterval) and plan the week ahead , write down everything u do and then check the ones that will directly impact your ROI, also focus on tasks that are NOT URGENT BUT IMPORTANT in the long run (like learning copywriting / prd creation or whichever is your core focus area every day) and then THE URGENT AND IMPORTANT, the remaining stuff will take 80% of your time yielding 20% of your results so better focus on the 20% which gives u the 80% .. cha ching...good luck

Actually I have a team for the Marketing purpose which is based on SEO. Not any other method. I make them a goal for a week. and they submit the result at the end of the week. I just maintain some blog posts in my blogs and other technical things.
