Do you thing Email marketing pulls traffic?

For a new website is email marketing efficient ? What do you think?
Also is there any email marketing company offering free trial so that I can test the result. Please do not suggest me the mailchimp.

Thanks

Are they? I'm not sure - I've never been asked about it - I just went looking for the forum rules to check but couldn't find them - not even typing "forum rules " into the search takes me there..

act of laziness really when I'm grabbing links I just grab them off my bookmarks and they all have my affiliate codes on them

E-mail marketing doesn't pull in traffic, but if you have a website that has an opt-in form on it, a number of people who find your website through doing searches will sign up to your list without you having to do much of anything. Aweber is the way to go for e-mail marketing. You can get your first month for like $1 USD to try it out.

Well I think anything that works, and is honest, will work regardless of the medium of delivery (and yes, that is what I believe in the planet I come from )

I'm kind of old-school in that way, I like to sell things that work, not hype and dreams.

I agree but, you need to let people know about your product, right?

        That's right.

The first thing you should concentrate on is getting traffic. Then figure out the best way to monetize it.

Definitely put an opt-in form on your site right away. You want to catch all the subs you can right from the start, but you won't catch any until you have traffic.

Email marketing is more for you to promote and sell to your exisiting subscribers. It is also a good way to maintain relationship with them. For traffic wise, you got to use other technique like solo ads, bloggin and etc.

Email Marketing is work no matter your website is new or old .
It depend who you send to . You might send to existing database with old website & send to new database which you might purchase or collect yourself and lead them with email marketing to your website traffic.
It really work and it mostly attract unique traffic as well as long as your database is quality .
It surprise that you do not like mailchimp. How about aweber?
These are top two free email marketing tools that people suggest all around.

Email marketing is great to get the existed audiences (that already give you permission to send them emails) notice about newest information of the website. Wheter new products information, promotional information, etc. And honestly, have no idea about new website

I think if you get an opt-in list that is interested in a specific product niche, then it would be easy to sell to that list.

You can start off with Aweber. Right now it's at a $1 trial for 30 days. Email marketing is an integral part of your internet business. How else would you stay in contact with your past customers to get more sales from them? (other than direct mail)

It is not the best way to pull in traffic to your site, but it sure does well when it comes to conversion. This is also a good way to keep your subscribers interested to your site. This is also a good way to send your site updates or new products you are promoting. No matter how old-school this tactic may sound it is still effective

Email marketing is having a slow death now. Typical open rates is less than 5% and click thru rates is even less than half of that.

So that pretty much gives you an idea of how much traffic to expect from the list you have

Absolute nonsense. Okay, email open rates are dropping on the average, but this simply doesn't apply to everyone. I have high open rates because I work to build that initial trust from the beginning and only send quality information to my list. The MMO niche is saturated with crappy marketers promoting crappy products. We are all on other marketers lists and we don't open all emails, but there are a select few who will always get great results from their lists. You are surely not an exception to this rule as your mindset is in the gutter with all the below par marketers out there.

Sorry, but that's just the facts for you. Stop listening to the nonsense and then coming onto forums to spread the bad word. Rise above the noise and be an exception to that stupid rule you were taught by the nay sayers who haven't a clue how to stand out from the crowd.

Every email has to be targeted if you want to get good results from your emails. It is a good option but you have to make sure that they are opt-in addresses. Hope this helps. Good luck.
