Good Idea Vs GREAT Idea
Need to ask you something.
Actually i am a software developer (plugins and desktop software's). Thing is i do lots of research online, i visit popular site to look for the problems people are facing and then convert the solution into software.
Problem is every time i work on something and reach in the middle of completion, i hit by the 'better' idea (which may/may not be related to my present project), then the present idea i am working on seems to be 'less' relevant and my focus jump to the new idea. This result in waisting of time and money which i have already invested in the present idea.
So, the question is:
1) If you are working on something but suddenly you got some great idea, will you quit the current one and continue with new one?
2) How do you compare your ideas. It's like sometimes what we see as a 'next awesome thing' doesn't turns to be one in reality.
3) Out of all the new ideas/concept that you think in a day, how you select the golden one and kill the waste one?
This whole process result in waisting of time and resources but still 'my minds' keeps on running on different tracks while working on something which, few days back i though would be a great stuff.
I am not sure if i am able to explain everything what i wanted to, but i hope you get the idea about my problem. Really appreciate your views in this, specifically from people who are in software/plugin business.
Thanks,
Carson
