From what I understand, the more eyeballs that see your videos from here on out, the more money you can make. If you become a genuine YouTube star with 100,000s of thousands of views everytime you put out a new video, or several videos with multi-million views you can become a thousandaire!

I put up a single video that got 3 views and was invited into the program... I think its open like Adsense nowadays. The difficult part is to get views and subscribers, they are the equivalent of traffic and email list... Good luck

Have you already gotten accepted into the program or have you been invited to become a partner?

To make a significant amount of income from YouTube you need to consistently make high quality videos and focus on increasing your view count.

Im accepted, yeah I know it depends on how many videos you have and how many views you get. But do I earn even if people do not click on the ad? This should have been the question I lead with!

Can someone answer: "Do I earn even if people do not click on the ad?"

    Hey Tom!

I just got back from VidCon 2012, which is conference put on by YouTube. So, right now the YouTube Partner program is changing...it's not the same as the old days when only the big guns got the partner program benefits.

YouTube is claiming that everyone will have the same benefits that the big guys have, but it has not been unrolled that way yet. It will be interesting to see what all of this really entails. They are saying that the only way right now you can be in line and ready to become a partner when everything starts happening is to:

    1. Have your account in good standing
    2. Enable your account for monetization
    3. Make sure your video content complies with YouTube terms of service, copyright, etc.

Sound like you have done those things!!

As far as getting paid, it depends on the type of ad...but yes! You do get paid even if people don't click on the ad - these are impression-based and playback-based revenues.
