Anyone start one of these and what's the issues i'm going to face with posting or allowing others to post random pics from around the web on my site? If I setup a DMCA take down link, and honor notices sent is that good enough or what? Also is this the type of site that should be a put under a brand or regular?

    Lawsuits for breaches of copyrights.

Probably quite soon after you start, if you don't own the copyrights of the images on your site, or have permission from the copyright-owner to publish them on the web.

There are agencies who make a living just by scouring the web for sites like this, finding probable breaches of copyright, identifying and notifying the copyright owners and offering to have their lawyer act for them on a "no damages, no fee" contingent basis.

Many hosts will also be reasonably quick to remove such sites when the copies of all the DMCA notices start arriving, because they know from experience the kind of sites that cause them problems in this regard, but that actually does you a favor and limits your potential future liability.

Thanks for the response Alexa, I see now why you're a valued member of this community. I was thinking about the copyright thing, what if the images are hosted on image host sites? Say imgur or imageshack, where i'm not hosting the content myself, similar to some subreddits on reddit? I want to do it blog style though, for halloween pics, funny pics or whatever theme.
