Did you ask your mom for permission to do this?

She should be fully aware of what you've done, and you should both read ALL the terms of service on the site. Because no, you can't transfer money into a bank account that has a different name than is on the PP account.

    1) On limits: https://www.paypal.com/webapps/helpc...ID=94053&m=SRE

    2) Yes you can deposit the money directly, it just takes a few days.

Also, I'd be careful playing with paypal while under 18. They love to freeze accounts.

Usually there is at least a withdrawal limit until your identity is verified, so hopefully you had your mother's permission to use her identity .

If your bank account is linked to the account, then yes. If the names match

...and if the names on both accounts match. Every time I go to withdraw money, right after entering the amount I get this notice:

•The name on your PayPal account must match exactly with the name on your bank account

Just wanted to add that bit to make it clear that not only must the accounts be linked, but potentially one would run into problems if the names don't match.

i can't deposit it in my mom's bank account.
and she does not care that i opened the paypal account on her name.

but i dont know how should i get the money...

      please help guys...

how someone in my age (17) can make money online ?
i mean how can i get the money...
Request paypal debit card in the account holder name, it should be in your mail box in about a week or so then you can used it to take the money out at any atm... withdraw limit 400$ cash per day

PS. paypal will send you debit card only to a verified address

Don't try and screw around with PayPal, they can and will make your life a misery.

Assuming you set up the account with your mothers permission, there will be no issues verifying identity. I recommend you withdraw the money to a bank account in her name so as to avoid looking suspicious at any point.

@Becky, huh didn't know that. Of course, my bank accounts have my names on them. I recant that bit.

The reason I pay so much attention is because my PP is under "Rebecca" while my bank account is under "Becky." Clearly most people know that's the same person, just a shortened version of the name. And so far I haven't had any problems with withdrawals... but I keep an eye out for it.

what do you guys think about this idea?
Why the unnecessary step when you can just go from Mom's PayPal (already set up) to her bank account to your bank account, unless you didn't have permission to open an account in her name like we asked ?

Then perhaps the best suggestion is to use your old brother's PayPal to do transaction and then he deposits the money to his bank account and then send the money to your bank account.

Why not just request a check for payout and then have your mom deposit it in your account?

so i thought about the solution with my brother, as i wrote above.
Well, why don't you try to use your brother's bank bank account instead of your mom's or you transferring the money from your mom's bank account to your brother.

Because if your brother's bank account doesn't have any problems like your mom's then there shouldn't have that much problems at all.

I'm actually only 15 and I have a PayPal account.
My parents set up a teen checking account from USAA for me ..
I just used that and it worked fine.
But the name on the PayPal account must match the owner of bank account.

    In that case...

Don't mess with your mom's account at all.

    Imagine this...

You withdraw your money out of PP. You then get a refund. PP goes into your mom's bank account for the refund. It puts your mom's account into a negative balance. Now your mom gets slammed with bank fees for having a negative bank balance. That would create more headaches for your mom.

And that's all I'm going to say about this, because I don't want to talk about legal issues... of which I know NOTHING about.

I believe that creating a PayPal account on the name of your brother is an ideal solution. Just ask him and I wish you to make the money you wish to make. It will be better to use directly your brothers account to make the fees less (avoid the fees of transfering the money from your moms account to your brothers).

@OP: Another option would be to deposit the money in your Mom's bank account and helping her out with her debt. If she still isn't, she's been feeding you your whole life after all .

As long as they keep the music down and stay off the lawn, they're pretty harmless I think . Surprises me still though.

I would second what RexMapes said. Just request a check from Paypal instead of depositing directly. Then you can deposit that money wherever you want.

It's pretty amazing that you say you have 17 years of experience as a web developer, on your Fiverr gig, yet, you are 17 years old. You must be a computer genius!

And to think, I was worried he was committing fraud because I originally thought his mom didn't know about the PP account opened in her name. And now this...
