Only giving a teaser in autoresponder then link to rest of message on blog?

My blog has like no activity and no social sharing, but I do have quite a bit of people on my autoresponder and they all read my stuff. Should I only give a teaser of it then give a link to my blog for the rest of it? And also encourage them to post comments and socially share my content? This would also help for SEO purposes as well since legit comments and socail signals do work.

It depends what your primary objective is for the e-mail
    that you're sending them.

Is it to make a sale?

Is it to get them to comment on your blog?

Is it to get them to share via social media?

    Etc.

Once you've established the primary objective of your
e-mail, then you'll know where you need to send them.

    Dedicated to mutual success,

    Shaun has some great points!

I personally love to send my email lists to my blog for lots of reasons.

The first reason is I make lots of videos for them and this helps pre-sell products and give them some value...

These videos help with getting social shares and comments on my blog and also helps increase sales of affiliate products I'm promoting.

Make sure you have some way for them to share your site socially - I use the "tweet and like" plugin which can be found by searching within your WP blog directory.

    Good luck!

    Cheers,
    Coby

i have been using this strategy for a long time

i often email my list (and buyers) and send them to new blog posts

its a great way to build more credibility and also presell people

i often create curiosity, thats how i get more people over to my blog and the more people on my blog then the more social sharing goes on, more comments are left, this then attracts more comments, more traffic and more social sharing

its a powerful model if used correctly and one that a fair few marketers use

sending your subscribers to your blog is also very refreshing for a lot of people rather than just write a 2000 word article in your auto responder

its far more productive to create content for your blog and sending your subs there. The benefits are huge and a real no brainer

Subject to the very helpful comments above, this is something that can work very well.

One of the added attractions of this is that it gets your subscribers used to clicking on your links. This is enormously valuable and will normally increase your conversion-rate when you send "offers"/"promotions" by email.

However, there are also circumstances in which it isn't suitable. Depending on your subscribers' expectations and your continuity process. If people have (for example) subscribed because they're specifically expecting and wanting "long content" in your emails (there are such circumstances!), then it's not necessarily going to work so well. In my opinion, this has a lot to do with the traffic demographics and maybe very much less to do with the niche.

One monetisation method where this method works well is advertising/traffic. ie - you sell advertising on your site based on traffic so you want to get as many return visitors to your blog as possible.
