How should I market my search engine?

I can't find any tutorials anywhere.

There aren't really pages to index; the pages are created as a user searches for a keyword.

The engine actually fetches data from different sites and sort of displays them in an iframe.

So, I basically have 2 pages as of right now(still working on a Support page and all of that good stuff).

Am I out of luck as far as marketing/SEO goes, or is there a way to do it?

All answers are appreciated, please and thanks.

Online - PPC, Social networking, Press release

Offline - Tv, Classifieds, Radio, Newspaper, Magazines e.t.c

To be honest, it's not an easy task to outrank your competitor (G) in this niche.

Well, it's a music search engine, if that helps. Think beeMP3 or soundcry.

You can use ANY and EVERY way of advertising...

You can use Social Media, you can business pages in Facebook, Twitter, Google, etc.

You can use PPC, Facebook Ads...

You can make videos and publish them on YouTube and different video directories...

You can start your own website/blog talking about your search engine...

You can submit articles and/or press releases to different directories...

And also you can use offline stuff, like johnben1444 said

Buy cheap reviews from blogs. Start a pay per search program. It doesn't have to be expensive. You can set it to .001 or something like that. Many developing countries' users would be interested in a .001 pay per search program that has a viral element. Make sure there's a viral hook to the search results so the .001 you pay yields more than searches.

Probably not the best niche to enter into. Even the smaller search engines like Ask or Altavista are hard to compete against.

The search market is huge. If he makes his search engine a NICHE engine, he should be fine. Besides, advertisers are looking for a high level of targeting. Focusing on a certain niche boosts his appeal to advertisers. I agree with on the LIMITED BASIS that yes-trying to launch a GENERAL search engine would be a useless as pounding sand...
