In todays world its all about making money. Obviously if you don have money then you cant fund things but what is the most important thing to you? Health and care of loved ones is the most important im sure but what falls next for you personally, big or small:
  • To have lots of money in the bank
  • Make sure you reach your targets within your IM goals
  • Travel the world
  • Make your business a success
  • Expand your business and manage your own team
  • Work from home
  • Decrease your full time job hours and work part time
  • Be number 1 on Google
  • Keep your ad rank the same all the time
  • Be the best IM of all time
  • Help others by sharing your knowledge
  • Get off the starting blocks
  • Slow down as you work too hard

maybe some i have mentioned or something competely different. What are your others goals, what else is really important to you that you are achieving, have achieved or want to achieve?

To live the laptop lifestyle. I am a qualified plasterer and earned $250 a day doing that bloody horrible job. The money was great, but I was unhappy. I hated every moment of it but felt trapped because of the lifestyle I was accustomed to. Finally, after 13 years, I left. I went to college to learn "network administration" and after just 2 years in, I left that also.

I began to question why I couldn't be happy. I mean, I had a plastering job that paid very well, and left. I was top of my class in college and had a bright future ahead of me, and left that too. I realized that no job was ever going to make me happy.

So, the most important thing for me, is to live my life on my own terms. To be free to make my own decisions and not have to answer to anybody. To work from anywhere I want, at any time I want, and to spend time with my family whenever I want.

The thing is though, for the first year and a half, I was broke as a joke. I was working harder than ever. I was under pressure more than I ever had been, and I was constantly looking for ways to make money without having to go back plastering. Guess what I did? i went back into the plastering game to earn extra cash to pay my bills and invest into my business. I now work full time from home. I still have a job, because I have to sacrifice my time every day to my business, but I'm getting very close to being exactly where I want to be.

NOT SURE WHY i RAMBLED ON THERE

Freedom to do whatever I want, whenever I want is my goal. I'm very close right now. The future looks bright and is being lived on my own terms.

      Ah, interesting.

Yes - here, too, plastering is a particularly expensive skill to employ - I had some done when I originally moved into my little house. And watching plasterers do their work makes you realise how much they earn it: it looks so highly skilled that it's kind of astonishing how they ever manage to end up with a perfectly flat, smooth surface at all. Quite interesting, actually. But I see that it must get repetitive and tedious, once you've mastered the skills and done it a few hundred times.

Your posts continue to educate, interest and inform, Retsced - thank you.

For me, I believe having an understanding of your purpose in life is important. There are many people that have money, big cars and all the materials things but are unfulfilled. Fulfilment comes from doing something you are passionate about and that gives you joy and satisfaction. Also adding value (not necessarily getting paid for it) to other people is important.
