Best practice for affiliate Vendors? Advice needed

Hi everyone!

I'm new to the warrior forum, so I hope I put this in the right place. I am looking for a small bit of help and I hope that some of you can give me some input.

I have just spent the past 3 years working on writing a book. Its a business book about different corporate organisations, and how they can innovate. it is NOT to do with internet marketing. Its a bit more general, aimed at business studies students. (I teach business studies at a school in Denmark, so its an academic style book)

I would like to sell the book as an e-book, but I want it to have a large reach. I know that I could use something like Clickbank (or similar) to get it in front of affiliates for them to sell.

Aside from giving affiliates the maximum 75% cut, what things can I do to A) Make sure I get lots of great affiliates promoting my book and B) How can I help and support them to sell as many copies as possible?

I have brainstormed a few ideas, such as allowing affiliates to have sample chapters to give away free, high res graphics, allow them to interview me, etc etc.

Can any of you give me any pointers so that I can be a really good vendor? (Also I am not 100% set on clickbank, so if you have any other ideas for other ways to get my e-book out there, that would be great)

Thank you so much
amontandon

If you do decide to go with clickbank you need to should just hire someone to create you a good sales page & also someone to write e-mail swipes for you, create plenty of banner graphics in all the different shapes & sizes, create PPC & PPV creatives & have someone write up a few different reviews of your book that people can simply copy & paste onto their blog or website.

Essentially you want to make it extremely easy for anyone who wants to promote your product to promote your product.

Then as the product owner I would find every single blog out there related to what my book was about, contact them offer them a free copy (even a hard copy) & ask them if they would consider promoting my book on their blog.

Since you're a scholar you could probably get a ton of people willing to allow you to guest post on their blog & just like on television mention the book in your post.

Thank you so much for that.

Is it just a matter of making a good page full of assets for my affiliates to use? That they can just copy and paste?

Are there any things that I could do for my affiliates to make them think "I can really promote this product"?

This post basically sums it all. I share his ideas and strongly agree with his suggestions.

Everything above is spot on! also don't be afraid to research some top affiliates and reach out to them personally! Your book sounds like great quality, offer reviews to affiliates, be polite and be yourself and explain your aims! Most probably won't give it the time of day, but some will and if they do well with it, it will alert other affiliates and then things can really start to take off!

    Good luck with it!

      Thank you so much.

How would I go about finding the "good" affiliates in my niche? I totally expect to send out perhaps hundreds of copies of the book to reviewers/bloggers/etc but are there any good tips to find the best people?

Post about your product on various affiliate marketing forums(majority of them have a separate section for that) and share why promoting your product is a nice move.

And is Clickbank the best way to go? Or are there others I should try?
