Is there a free membership site wordpress plugin?

I am planning to create my own membership site using wordpress as I have been read here many times. That you can use wordpress for membership site, but I still don't have budget to pay for the paid membership plugins.

Just want to know if there is a free plugins that are reliable to use.

With no budget you could use the Free version of MemberWing and upgrade
as you have the funds available.

Thanks for the recommendation I will check this one... and you're right if I got the fund I will be happy then to pay for a paid version.

I'm in the same position as you--I'm researching membership site plugins. The best I've seen and HEARD is mywishlist.com. I'm leaning towards that one at the moment.

It doesn't stop thousands of people happily paying for memberships which use it.

If someones asking for a free solution - which 'professional' free solution do you recommend?

Nobody has to SEE or KNOW that it is WordPress--all they see is the theme and you can make a theme look pretty much any way you want.

Absolutely spot on.

I make static looking sites using the wordpress engine, as well as custom themes for blog type sites. It took a bit of time, but I learned how to do it from tutorials I found on the net. You can make them as professional looking as you want!

i have yet to come across a "Free" membership plugin that i have truly been satisfied with but there are plenty of good "Paid" options that are great.
