[CB] Getting a curiously unchanging number of visitors with and without promotion
This is a curious little problem I've been facing with one particular ClickBank item for the past 3 months. No matter what I do or how I promote it, I almost always get between 64-67 visitors a day to this item. (I'm the affiliate for the product and I've been promoting it for the past 4 years).
I also get 1 sale per day for that item.
While the sale part is well and good, I'm trying to interpret this unnaturally "fixed" 64-67 visitors I get irrespective of whether or not I promote it.
It's all SEO (free) traffic from dozens of diverse sources and even on days when I don't promote, I continue to get the exact same range of visitors. It's like someone or something is "throttling" my hops.
Last week I decided to add another source of traffic. Again, the same number.
I added Google Analytics to track what's going on and it showed very different numbers, ranging from 40-174 per day. But when I did that, my sales mysteriously stopped for 15 days.
I wonder if any experienced folks can provide some insights about this.
