Split Testing on Wordpress Pages Possible?

Hello Warriors,

I wish to convert some of my existing wordpress pages into lead capturing
pages.

For the usual HTML sites, I can easily a code above the html tag to implement
split testing and tracking.

However, for wordpress pages, is it possible?

Are there any wordpress plugins to allow split testing on wordpress possible?

A quick glance through the plugins directory on wordpress.org tells me there's probably nothing like what you're looking for.. and knowing a little about how wordpress works, I imagine it would be pretty difficult to do.

    Hi!

You can do basic split tests with the
    "Who Sees Ads" WordPress plugin.

    Kind regards,

Hi Joel, the cheapest option for you would to be download this plugin:

    http://www.impressionengineers.com/w...imizer-plugin/

and use it with Google Optimizer. The plugin will allow you to do A/B split testing, but unfortunately you can't do any multivariate testing with it. As far as I can tell though, the developers are continually adding features so hopefully they'll add that soon.

There is another free plugin available called google website optimizer but it totally screwed up my blog so i uninstalled it. Plus I don't think its been updated for years.

If you want to do multi-variate testing with Wordpress then I believe you can use Affiliate Prophet Pro. You have to install the php-exec plugin as well though so you can drop the relevant php code into your pages, but apparently it works. Peter Yoon who is the creator of AP Pro is also a fellow Warrior.

I'm going to be trying AP Pro with Wordpress over the next week so I'll let you know how I get on.

I've got quite a few Wordpress based sites now and when I first started looking around last year I was surprised at how little information and options there was about it.

      Hi,

Thank you for the recommendations. Will definitely take a look at th easy
      google optimizer plugin.

Affiliate Prophet by Peter Yoon... will check that out as well.

It's a pity Xtreme Conversions doesn't have any basic testing function.

Do update me on your integration of AP with Wordpress.

I've been using Affiliate Prophet with WP and it does a very solid job of split testing. The taguchi testing in the Pro version are pretty slick as well.

sounds good, i'm looking to pick this up as well. when you say split testing, you mean multi-variable testing right? hoping.

Hi Steve, split testing is basically testing one webpage against another webpage and there is only one different component between the two i.e headline, image or offer.

Multi-variate testing allows you to test multiple variations of components on the same page. i.e Headline #1 with image #3 and Offer #4; Headline #3 with image #1 and Offer #5.

This is a lot quicker than split testing as you can test more combinations, but you tend to need a lot more traffic to get the required results in.

        Hope that helps.

    Hi Joel,

The Ad-minister plugin can be used to split test ads on blog pages - I use it to split test optin forms and subscribe button clicks.

It doesn't do multi variate testing though...
