First Clickbank sale -Accidental unique marketing method

Hey everyone, after lurking on this site for nearly a year now and getting great info (thanks) I thought I'd share something.

I made my first Clickbank sale about 8 months ago now. But I kind of did it accidentally.
What happened was I purchased some Make Money product which involved buying web hosting and domains etc...way more than I anticipated...and and all the techniques to make quick money.
To make a long story short, I basically had my primary domain website built around the MMO niche. But then along comes all these other email offers telling me to buy this new stuff you will make money faster! lol. So as a newbie I went and bought more and this other one involved selling Clickbank products in the Weight Loss niche.
I'll be honest I was in over my head. All this website uploading and stuff, I did not know what I was doing! (thanks to Xsitepro2 it's easy now )

Anywho, funny thing was I ended up uploading a full page big a** diet ad with this guys big guts hanging out to one of my pages on the MMO website ACCIDENTALLY lol. It must have looked like a pop up or something when you went to that page because the page had none of the side bars etc like from the others.
And what do you know..someone bought the diet plan lol a whopping 91 bucks by the way! It was the Diet Solution program. Must have been upsells. The only traffic going to this site was some deal I got with the hosting package and bought like 500 visitors a month or something.

Anyway it had me thinking, do any of you marketers sell like this? As in surprise the visitor with an offer they think they got lucky to find?

I guess it would work best with a surprise weight loss product as nearly everyone wants to lose weight. Gee this story did get a little long

    Most of the time it does not work. I don't think you will see many sales for a long while but I could be wrong I don't know what the domain name is. It could be coincidental from the traffic you bought.

    You must target. home jobs will fly on a make money online site but for the most part people are looking for something easy they can do a few hours a day.

    You pretty much did something that happened as a result of doing too much. Weight loos should be on a domain with a weightloss domain name and same for for mmo.

    However weight loss is great for monitizing celebrity blogs too. "See how the celebs lose weight"
