What am I doing wrong with the Paypal Sandbox?

It s getting on my last nerve. I am trying to test out buying a product off of one of my sites. So I made a fake account in the sandbox and tried to use it to buy my product but it says I am using the wrong password and wont let me buy the damn product. Am I doing something wrong. Why does it say to enter sandbox site?

    When you test your transactions, you have to update your payment gateway settings in your particular product to the Sandbox settings instead of live settings.

    Otherwise, you will not be redirected to the sandbox payment gateway where you can use your testing account to make payment and buy products.

    I think the reason why it says wrong password is because you are in the live payment gateway where you can only log in using your real PayPal account.
