Hi Guys

The traffic source is affiliates. I am hesitant to name the product because I don't want this thread to sound like self promotion in any way, but yes, it is my own program.

The point is that I think this advice is indeed just about the best I have ever come across on WF. Maybe it isn't for other people; perhaps it was just what I needed to hear at the time.

$1,000,000 / 365 = $2,740 per day. Assuming a $100 product, that's 27 sales per day/funnel/source/product. (Just thinking out loud.)

I did that calculation to break it down to a scale I can relate to. I've never set a goal of a million a year however I have set goals based on $ sales per day. So your 5 bullet points, taken literally and linearly, can work out to 27 sales per day. That gives me an idea of whether or not this is achievable for me given the types of products I may sell.

Hi Casiveo

There's nothing wrong with breaking it down like that either - perhaps, for some people, it makes the goal seem more achievable and that's an important mental factor in motivation.

But remember the old 'rice and chessboard' story and understand that viral marketing can effectively do that for you if you can get it right

This really is the best solution to that part of the plan.

I'm guessing your "one product" does not mean "one source of income" - but more the one thing to pull the audience into the "one sales funnel."

I did that calculation to break it down to a scale I can relate to. I've never set a goal of a million a year however I have set goals based on $ sales per day. So your 5 bullet points, taken literally and linearly, can work out to 27 sales per day. That gives me an idea of whether or not this is achievable for me given the types of products I may sell.

You have to keep in mind (if you are selling your own product) - affiliates are getting a commission, so you either have to increase price to accommodate that or increase expected sales per day. Don't forget to factor other business costs as well.

Otherwise, one million might be total sales but not profit - which is still ok.

The thing is, it is quite amazing what can begin to happen when you have complete clarity of thought.

Having to nuke my server earlier this year has done this to me.

This very much reminds me af a conversation I had with
Mike Filsaime when we were both speakers at a UK event.

Mike very tellingly said... "A 30 day project takes thirty
days, so don't try to do three new 30 day projects every
darned month!"

That was a kick up the derrière I will never forget!

Sometimes, a word of advice, a thought shared or an insight glimpsed is enough to change our lives.

I remember years ago reading 'The Science of getting Rich' and there was one thing that really stood out to me: it was that there was no reason I could not become rich and I made up mind mind at that point that I would do so.

That was about seven or so years ago. Since then, I have only ever spoken about being rich in terms of "it's coming" ... and so it is! At present, I make a full time income from my internet activity and, I can tell you, the road to riches passes through this territory.

I know your comment is well-intended and I do not wish to sound patronising at all, but those sound like the words of someone who is not walking their talk. Quite clearly, anyone cannot do that.

However, in answer to your question $1 million is not a top limit in any way. I am not working backwards from a financial goal to determine what I need to do. The reward will be whatever it will be.

Linear projections would make this my best year so far - and I would be perfectly content with that, even if it should fall short of $1 million. However, I do not expect my progress to be linear.
