In simple terms...

Backlinking is the process of getting other sites to link to yours.

Converting is the process of getting a visitor to take a desired action (i.e. convert a visitor into a subscriber, convert a visitor into a customer, etc.)

OTO - one time offer

KW - keyword
PPC - pay per click

We could make this into a large thread. Why don't you list the words, acronyms, and abbreviations you're confused over, and then we'll do our best to give real (to be read "non-sarcastic") answers. It doesn't have to be just you, Jason, it can be anyone out there who wonders about stuff.

Here are a couple that I see people get confused about:

WSO - Warrior Special Offer - It's a forum here where people post products that they want other people to buy.
WFH - Warrior For Hire - It's a sub-sub-forum here where people put up ads for services they offer. Often confused with the WSO forum.

SEO - Search Engine Optimisation
Warrior JV's - Warrior Joint Ventures - There's a specific area of the forum dedicated to JV's.
WF - Warrior Forum - I think I when I first joined wasn't sure about this one believe it or not.
PM'S - Private Messages - After you reach a 50 posts or pay for War Room Membership which is a private forum area within the warrior forum you have this option available.

WSO = Warrior Special Offer

PPV = Pay Per View
GS = Google Sux
LOL = Laughing Out Loud (sometimes used outside WF as well. WF=WarriorForum)

Actually, if you hover over a lot of the abbreviated words used in this forum, you will be given their full proper name.

Try it with these. Hover your mouse over them.

WSO
PPC
SEO
PM
OTO
PLR
MRR

I wouldn't know where to find the definitions on WF, but two programs I know that tend to cover them are Street Smart Profits & Internet Marketing Uncut by Tristan Bull. I will check around and see if I can locate a list from the net for you.
