Passing variables via url

Myth or not? (at least in my head)

Does google read beyond the "?" in the passed url? or do you need/have to make the "readable"? (I see that being for humans more so than computers)

Thanks for any clarity you can offer.

Google can read beyond the "?" in dynamic url's.

Using a system to create "readable" url's is good for SEO when your script uses numbers for the files instead of words.

    For example:

    your-domain.com?file=123 <- doesn't contain any keywords

your-domain.com/your-keyword <- does contain keywords which helps with SEO
