800 or 866 number help

Ok I guess it's time to order a 800 or 866 Toll free number.

Does anyone have any experience with one of these looking for good rates and service?
Thanks
Ashley

    Hi Ashley,

The cheapest I've found are from kall8.com

i actually did research on this a while back for another site, but ended up not buying an 800 number.

Virtual PBX® | Small Business Phone System - The Original Hosted PBX

virtual pbx was my first choice because of rates and reliability

    COREDIAL (215)-297-4400

same reasons as virtualpbx....could have used this too

Virtual Phone System: Grasshopper | Manage Your Calls Online

grasshopper seems to be popular, but when i looked at some reviews i find that their services arent reliable and they seem to go down very frequently. their rates are very very good, but the only thing that turned me off was their reliability.

id rather pay a little bit extra to know that their services will be there when i need them. hope this helps.

I read that one can buy a virtual phone # on Skype.

Does anyone know the disadvantage of buying a virtual phone # on Skype instead of buying an actual 800 or 866 phone number (let's say from kall8.com, as mentioned by Jeff Hope)?

Of course I'm going to have to jump in and suggest TollFreeService.net

We don't offer 800 numbers but do offer 855, 866, 877, and 888. (Plus free transfers if you wanted to buy your 800 elsewhere and transfer it over). No hidden fees or usage taxes [you may be very surprised with these charges from others like Phone.com]. $3.95 gets you a toll-free number and 100 free minutes per month (additional minutes are 4.9c).

We also provide you with a free outbound faxing tool if you ever want to send out faxes online.

Our service is great for those residing in the USA who just want a toll-free number that forwards to any US number.

Whatever you end up deciding, I wish you the best with growing your business!

This is just smart business. Good for you.

I am assuming that you are using Google alerts, ifttt.com, rss readers, etc. to track posts on the Internet?

      Anyhow, good work.
