How to IM if your not the best writer?

Hi WF users

Article marketing seems to be the way to generate leads and get connections but what do you do if you're not the best writer and you are not in the position to pay out?

If you just relied on Google PPC advertising and social media (twitter, facebook, LinkedIn) and if you put your adverts up in magazines and exchange web links will this help to generate business?

If I focus on these methods for now and master them all, is it a good strategy or am I missing something else that doesn't really involve lots of writing until I've figured out how to do it to the best standard...

You don't have to be the best long form writer to generate business. There are many successful IMers who focus on one particular form of traffic generation. Do what you do best and outsource the rest!

Pick one type of traffic generation and work on it until you master it.

IM sure requires a lot of tasks to be done, admitting your known limits is the first step to find the highest possible quality for your site. If you honestly believe that your writing skills is not at par to what you expect for your content then I suggest outsourcing.

Thank you for your comments. Outsource seems the best option for articles submission

If I just relied on Google PPC advertising and social media (twitter, facebook, LinkedIn) and if you put your adverts up in magazines and exchange web links will this help to generate a good volume of business?

    Outsourcing articles is OK.

With IM, you want to create your own brand, image and character. By asking someone else to write your articles, you are missing out on an opportunity to build your brand because people will see one style of writing in an article, then head over to your website to see a much more different one.

There are many free marketing methods you could use - and prosper from. Such as, creating informative YouTube videos, the traffic is already on YouTube so the hard work is done for you, it's just up to you to create interesting content.

Actually, if you aren't a great writer, you could try and get in to video marketing, that's becoming very popular!

A lot of people who don't like to write, simply create videos and add short descriptions to them and tell people what their video is about - Nothing complicated

You'll have to outsource or go with one of the alternative, less content based methods that you mentioned. It makes no sense trying to make something work that you just can't do. Now, if you are in a position where you think you can learn to be a better writer, then by all means try article marketing as a supplementary method while you build up your skills.

Also, people like to get to know you on more of a personal level when it comes to IM, so even if you aren't a great writer, who cares?!

A lot of people get bored of extremely formal language all of the time - Take Frank Kern as an example, every other sentence he says contains a profanity! Lol.

Your readers. I don't care how well I know you if I have to analyze your writing word by word to try to figure out what the heck you are saying. It's a mindset like this that has led to a flooding of the writer's market with horrendous authors.

Formal and informal have little to do with talent.

        This^^^

Formal and informal are styles of writing having nothing to do with talent. I've come across both styles you mentioned from authors who do and who do not have talent.

I don't recommend that for everyone, you must know your target audience!

If I used profanity like Frank does, I'm sure I'd lose practically all of my customers.

By the way, that is one of the reasons I am not a follower or fan of Mr. Frank Kern.

I personally prefer at least a little class.

Instead of paying Google adsense, you can pay that to outsource someone to write for you. That is the general practice for most of the case. Many successful internet marketer are not good writer or do not get enough time to write for their site. So they out source and pay for some good article.
Google adsense and social media will not give you long term business as you can not run that long term because of their cost.
