Why Do Some Warriors Have Kept on Posting 'What If ____ Will Die?'
I believe, this week or the last has the most number of 'What if ____ will die' type of posts. These posts are even generalizing things such as the entire Internet Marketing, the Internet, social media, etc.
What benefit one will get by over-analyzing the uncertain? It's fine to be proactive, rather than being reactive, in thinking ahead of what may happen in the future. IMHO, 'proactive' attitude works well when used in analyzing the foreseeable outcome of specific things such as if-my-plan-A-didn't work-what-will-be-my-plan-B type of thinking.
If I may suggest, instead of wasting some brain neurons thinking of 'what if the world will end in Dec 2012' and other uncontrollable things that, perhaps, only God can answer, it'll be intellectually healthy to think of:
- what if I start asking my customers' honest feedback, will it resolve the gap as to why I'm getting a very low conversion rate?
- what if I spend quality time with my kids instead of burning my 15 hours on the Internet, will it strengthen our bond?
- what if I quit smoking and start exercising, will I become a more good-looking man?
Let's dwell on things where we have control of. Let's look at the foreseeable. Let's touch what we can reach.
As the late Stephen Covey said, we need to focus on our Circle of Influence and not on our Circle of Concern.
