Is it possible to put any banner ads/adsense/etc in PDF?

I came across this article Ads for Adobe PDF Files

Has anybody tried such a thing?

    Yes. One of our e-book clients always wants us to leave a space for his ads on some pages.

      hmmm...not sure how he is still able to put ads on PDF because it seems like adobe stopped that program in 2009 (Adobe Labs - Ads for Adobe PDF).

      I think it was a great idea though.

        We're not sure how our client does it. The template that we receive from this client shows some areas that says 'Ad Space Here.'

    I don't see how putting an advert in your PDF files is any different to leaving an affiliate link.

    I don't see how it would be possible to use Adsense though.

    Yes, you would need to create the eBook in HTML though I think.
