Just typed in my keywords to see how my site ranks on Google...

And I'm on the front page! Oh my goodness!

I haven't even been putting that much work into it, just following the basics of SEO. Trying to make good quality content. I only have about 5 posts (using Wordpress to power my site) and I'm on the front page of Google!

Sorry if this isn't the right place to post this kind of thread but I'm just so surprised and happy that I'm on the front page. This is a very big accomplishment for a newbie like me

    Excellent! Is that a competitive keywords? Maybe you can share briefly what you have done so others can benefit from it.

    The keywords are fairly competitive, but there is a specific way that I looked for keywords that would help me pinpoint a specific niche.

    I started by testing potential keywords by just doing a simple google search in quotes. If the keywords had any more than 50k results, I moved on because I figured the competition was too big for me to even consider trying it.

    If the keywords had not too many I would look up the 'intitle: keyword' and 'inurl: keyword' and if these had less than 10k results I put them on the list of potential keywords I would use.

    I just used one of the keyword phrases and built a site around it and BOOM. I didn't even notice I was on the front page. Hope this helps

    I focused building my site around the keywords, instead of building a site and then adding keywords around it.

    Cool. I'd love to hear more details about your story. I do have a website listed on first page with keyword "EDU backlinks" and "buy edu backlinks". but conversion still not very good. One alternative might be paid traffic.

    Hahaha sorry but that's all there is to my story. I just made the front page nothing else, but I take all my victories as they come to me.
