Hello,

I am looking to make a sales page website for one of my plr ebooks. Only thing is I dont have $97 dollars to buy Optimize Press quite yet...so is there any other program, plugin or theme I can use for wordpress that is cheaper or free?

Thanks

    Hello Anna,

The cheapest way to create a sales page is creating it yourself. If you have basic HTML knowledge it will NOT be hard. I'm doing my sales pages myself. Yes, it is time consuming but you can learn things and consider it as another revenue (by not paying someone else doing it). You can get some free templates and work on it with HTML. You don't need optimizepress or wordpress platform to create a wonderful sales page. Some creativity, your effort and time - that'd bring you a good sales page.

Or another thing you can try fiverr - at the end of that five dollar gig you'd still be editing i guess. Or you can post in the JV partners area asking for a sales page designer for a mutual JV. That'd work too. Guys with different skills can join and bring a wonderful project.

    Hope that helps,

    All the best,
    Mervik

If you don't have much technical skills to make it your self than Fiverr might be a choice for you. Also you can Google "sales page design" to get some paid provider who will make the design for you.

    I am fully agree with , Mr.MarvikHums.
I think you should try it.
If you don't know CSS-HTML ,no problem there are several ways to do it,just like
-you can hire a developer and implement your idea .
-you can spend proper time to learn web development ,then do it by your self.
    - You can clone a site .
By the way all are my suggestion ,you should do according to your choice.
But please don't use cms ,just use raw html, css, php.

Google "Blogger sales page template". There are tons you can use. Then buy a TLD domain and point it to your blogger page.

But seriously, Optimizepress is the real ****. Totally worth the $97 completely.

The cheapest way off course is to create it yourself. You can look around for some good designs for inspiration. Or else you can get very cheap/free PLR sales pages as well if you search properly

    Hi everyone,

I'm not a master in creating your own page but if you have some basics skils you can use kompozer to build your sales page it is FREE. Or as some others are saying you can use fiverr for help.

Anyway all the best and see you on top.

    Erwin your friend and partner.

Hmmm...let's boil it and make it really simple:

    A. Domain Name - Register.com, $2
    B. Hosting - HostGator, $0.01 the first month (I have a code if you or anyone else needs it, PM me)
    C. WordPress - Free
    D. Theme - WordPress Squeeze Page (Free)
    E. Content - Free (put your fingers on your keyboard and start typing)

With me? That's $2.01 for a domain you own for a year and hosting for 30 days. You should be able to make at least $5 the first month, which will pay for the second month's hosting.

Update: Register.com is still offering $0.99 domain names with the code Reg099ql.

      Code:
so is there any other program, plugin or theme I can use for wordpress that is cheaper or free?
If you have WordPress on hostgator, html shouldn't be an issue at all. So I'm unclear what your challenge is: creating a squeeze page? Is that because you're not familiar with WordPress? Because almost any of the WP themes that are freely-available to you through your hostgator WP install can be modified to be "squeeze" pages. Choose and activate a Theme; Create a Page; Enter your offer text and paste in your autoresponder form code, then Publish the Page; Go To "Settings > Reading", and under "Front page displays" click the button for "A static page" then select the page you just published. Click "Save Changes" at the bottom of that settings page. Voila - you now have a squeeze page!

And if the themes on hostgator aren't suitable for you, get the Mark Hess/Matt Mood free theme mentioned in other comments and work with that.

      Hope that helps. Good luck!

Just install Wordpress and create your sales page as a page rather than a post and go to Settings > Reading (I think) and make it static so that page shows up as the front page. Don't need a fancy theme to do that.

Just a thought here but JaRyCu seems to have given you some good advice - I wouldn't make it harder than it is right now (looking back, I see I got far too bogged down on design and wanting to make things look "just right" - as a distraction to buckling down and doing the hard work and actually focusing on the money making portion of my business.)

Not sure how techie you are, there is also Kompozer that can help you design pages ... but I'd really advocate again for you to follow JaRyCu's method -- get it up and start making a few sales so you CAN afford Optimize Press.

Lastly, just remember: PERFECTION IS THE ENEMY OF DONE.

    Best of luck to you.

You really don't need Optimizepress to build a money-making website. I've had sales letters with just test on a white background that would pull in sales for me... no borders or anything, just words. Dont put too much emphasis on design. Focus on traffic and conversions.

You have a general consensus on what you should do...

    "Do-It-Yourself".

    Or...

Pay five bucks to have someone give you a template
with a blue or white background.

Static pages are the best. I never understood all the
hype behind Wordpress dynamic pages. Just makes it
more complicated than it needs to be.

Keep it simple. Find a landing page, for free if you can,
and move on to more important tasks like generating
    traffic and sales.

There are free templates online if you google them, if you don't know how to upload them you can outsource that on fiverr for $5. You'll have the sales page up and running. Then the cheapest way to make it is to write your own sales letter, a copywriter would be an expensive option.

I just went through the same thing. I also use HostGator and just wanted a simple Sales Page: 1 Page, some Red Print, some Black Print, maybe a box or 2, a couple of Yellow Highlighted phrases, a few pics, and a Buy Now Button.

As a HostGator user you have access to their BaseKit site builder. That's what I used. I just picked a template that was the least complicated to start with, and started deleting things. Eventually I was left with a clean sheet (Because I coudn't find a "Clean Sheet" template - which would have been nice). I deleted the other pages also, so I just had the one.

Then it's a simple matter to Drag-and-Drop Text Boxes onto the clean sheet and type in your text and then modify it. Pics can be downloaded and added, again by Drag-and-Drop.

Actually, I DID use a little HTML coding where I wanted to do some Yellow Highlighting, but that was easy enough to look up on the internet.

Aside from that, it was just a matter of the Buy Now button code, which I got from E-Junkie and pasted in, and that was that. BaseKit DOES have Buy buttons for PayPal and Google if you need them.

Everything looks exactly like I wanted it to - no compromises. The learning curve on BaseKit wasn't too bad - figuring out the little peculiarities (I'd have to exit out then go back in to see some of my changes) was easy enough, and I didn't have to buy a template.

      Hope this helps.

You can create a sales page yourself, as pointed out above.

First you need the copy, the sales letter. You'll probably have to write it yourself, because it can be quite expensive to hire a good copywriter. For WSOs or Clickbank copywriters, the top copywriters charge thousands.

Then what you can do with the copy once it's created is, you can transform it into images and put the images on your website.

For this you can use Photoshop. Just put in the text of the copy, create some graphics, transition points, headers, arrows, borders, etc. Make it enticing and pleasing to the eye.

You can create several images (which makes the loading of the page faster afterwards) or you can create one huge, long image containing all of the copy.

Then you can simply upload this image/these images and center them on your site. Make sure to include the buy now buttons and you are done - you don't even need Wordpress installed on your site to have a sales copy on it!

I tried with Weaver theme which worked well according to my plans when I was thinking about driving traffic directly to my page & making the users feel good to read the content I am presenting to them...

The features are built well inside making it a cool theme for business pages giving it an image of a serious theme specially made for users specialized in IM.
