Thanks Warriors - I've Taken Action!

I just want to thank the warriors who gave me advice several days ago concerning taking my writing in a new direction, based on some health issues that have made it hard to continue as I had in the past. That advice was invaluable to me, and I am taking action on it.

In fact, I took action today - and just to make sure that I am fully committed, I spent money doing it . I never spend money if I'm not committed!

Today I became a War Room member, I purchased two domain names, and purchased webhosting. I even purchased a WSO which I believe will be quite helpful to me in the very near future (within the next week or so).

Now, as much as I would love to hang around here absorbing information and learning new things, I'm off to complete some writing work to earn more money to spend on further action...

Thanks again Warriors!

      Thanks!

      The WSO I got was:

51 Strategies I Use To Bring Money Into My Business Each Month - Tony Shepherd, and I got the next product offered (OTO?) as well - about list building.

I just went back to look to see the WSO subject for the post, but I can't find it ! It's so easy to get lost in there!

Really nice of you to post an acknowledgement and I sincerely wish you success and good fortune. From your previous thread you sound a decent person who's had more than her fair share of misfortune, but hasn't let it deter your ambition. If anyone deserves a break it's you. Go get it.

Thanks! However, "misfortune" is not how I would describe my circumstances. I won't say that the diagnosis of a life changing condition didn't throw me for a loop in the beginning. There were the usual (or I would assume usual) reactions...shock, denial, depression, poor me, why me, final acceptance, etc. But after all of that, I have put it all in perspective.

The situation could have been so much worse. My condition is not fatal (at least it doesn't have to be). While my own income was severely impacted, my husbands income was not, and he's always made enough to support us. I have great health insurance, and an excellent support system among my friends and family. With the help of my doctors, I'm finally able to do SOME work again, and with the help and advice from you Warriors, I can secure my future income in a much better way.

In the end, Lupus or not, I am blessed

I know what you mean...I have been there, not with lupus, but with another condition. It wiped me out for quite a few years but I am finally getting some of my health back and can now do more...thank God! Anyway, good luck with your projects!

I've spent money. There is no stopping for me at this point LOL! I have a written action plan, and as soon as I finish the writing job that I am working on (about another hour), I'm going to start working that plan.

I salute you Shyley... Don't lose that determination and fire... The road of this venture is not easy... But you surely know how to overcome such situations since you have successfully accepted and have decided to work on what you want despite your condition. Keep us posted, I am looking forward to your success.

Nobody ever promised it would be easy...and if it were easy, I probably wouldn't want to do it anyway I am definitely prepared to work at it - hard.

Action's nice. Consistent, productive action is better. Congratulations, but I'll be glad to give a much more enthusiastic "good for you" when you come back and tell us about a few successful projects. You have the drive to do it, even with your current medical conditions. We believe in you, and in fact we expect you to be successful now.

    Make us proud!

Good going, Shyley. When you get stuck (and you probably will), just remember where you can always come for advice. This well seems bottomless...

    Good for you.

I think that one sentence I bolded in black probably has more to do with success than anything else I can think of.

For instance, I read about making websites for quite some time. Then I sat down to make a website and realized all that reading was a complete waste of time (ironic eh?).

1 day sitting down to make a website = like 1 month of reading about how to make websites.

    SO KEEP TAKING ACTION.

Do NOT swallow the "I have to read about everything I do before I do it" pill. That seems to cause so much harm around these forums than good.

In fact every thing I have succeeded at, I have immediately just jumped right into doing and persisted till success was reached.

School teaches you the value of reading, and it is valuable, but when it comes to learning real skills reading will handicap you imo. Thats probably a strong word, but it tends to help me out.

KEEP GOING STRONG AND NEVER GIVE UP!!

Thanks Red! I have to agree with everything that you've said. Fortunately, I learned long ago not to let myself get sidetracked. As a writer, I do a lot of research, and when the topic is interesting, it's hard to tear myself away. Unfortunately, that does not aid me in completing the job and getting paid.

I've learned to bookmark and get the work done, and then, after my scheduled work is done, I use my 'free time' to go back and read. I'm taking the same approach now that I'm doing more writing for me or for my own projects. As my Grandmother used to say "are you going to do something, or are you going to waste precious time thinking about it all day?"

I prefer to just do it

      Thanks again!
