Whats the difference between HubPages/Squidoo, and EzineArticles/ArticleBase

From what i understand, they both allow you to write articles, post your links in them, whaever they may be, and rank well in google.

But whats the difference? Does one rank better than the other? And whats this web 2.0 thing?

    All the websites you have mentioned here have their distinct domain authority. All are good and having good reputation in Google, but still they are distinguish upon some points. Google values the links from the site, which have better domain authority and reputation.

    Web 2.0 websites are the websites where you can share your things and being visible to the people in your circle. Example of web 2.0 are facebook, twitter, Google +, linkedin etc.
