What is the best way to build business relationships?

Im not just talking about affiliates for your WSO. I'm talking about building relationships in general, long-term relationships which will benefit both sides of the partnership.

How do you build relationships, and more importantly, how do you keep them going?

I suspect a popular answer to this question would be to offer something of value to the other person, but sometimes it is hard to know what you can do for them to build that relationship. Some people may not have much to offer the other side, so what can they do in regards to this?

Looking forward to your thoughts,
-Michael

I usually attempt to find out what the other person wants
and then look for ways to see how I can help them to get
    it.

If I can't help them directly, I'll see if I can pass them on
to someone else who can help them.

Online, I try to anticipate the needs of my subscribers
and then provide them with what will help them. I like to
encourage a dialogue with my subscribers via e-mail to
try to keep my finger on the pulse. I run surveys too.

With other online business owners you can contact them
via e-mail, websites, forums, etc. Then just let them know
that you'd like to get to know them better and want to
find out what they're looking to achieve and if you can
    help them in anyway.

Back in 2001, I was part of Business Network International
and they taught me how to network effectively with offline
business owners. A lot of the relationship building came
down to meeting people regularly and just finding out how
    we could help each other.

    Dedicated to mutual success,

    Shaun

Working on and building stronger business relationships can help your business so much more than you might realize. One of the reasons that so many small business operators and builders neglect this area is because they do not see an immediate pay off. Two of the biggest business kills are impatience and being near sighted. People who lack business experience and try to go it alone are just, sort of, blindly fumbling their way forward. You have no mechanism for feedback other than seeing the results of your effort. It is important, then, to think of building your business relationships and connections as a really good investment.

Find a common interest or objective your oth striving towards and aim toad one another to achieve these goals.

I personally think the more you give , the more you shall receive... Offer value and genuine enthusiasm to your clients and it shall be reciprocated

the secret is making sure you consistently talk and network on a regular basis. Face time is very important. The more they see your face the more comfortable they will want to do business with you
