What would you do with $100...

if you were brand new to network marketing. Here is the question for some of you experienced people here. Say you are new to network marketing and you have set up a blog and done all the free stuff you can think of. Since you don't have a lot of money, you decide you can spend $100 to further your business. Looking back, what would you do? Would you buy leads? pick up a particular piece of software?

I'm curious. I am sure a lot of you were at that point in your online career and were confused but looking back you think, hey $100 dollars spent here would have been just what i needed at the time. I would love to hear your answers and I am sure that it would be educational for a lot of people on this forum.

    Hi mate,

Your probably way more experienced in IM than me, so please don't think im being patronising here.

If I were you I'd get a War Room subscription, Sell some services to rebuild your balance upto $100 and try something you learnt there rather than have someone rip you off with a half hearted WSO?

    Just my 2pence buddy.

That's a fair answer. I'm looking for two reasons, one is I don't have a ton of money and looking for bang for you buck ideas. The other is I'm curious what guys (or gals) would have spent their early money on if they had the benefit of hindsight. I've posted this a few other places I'm active and figure if nothing else, I'll get some good insight into the kinds of things people would have done had they known better. I'm even curious to hear what people did that failed miserably.

I would buy some kind of software such as AMR, then start blasting Squidoo lens so I could earn a mix of amazon income and adsense.

How does this work, exactly? I'm interested (because that's my two sources of income...not much, but I would love to scale up)!

Just to be clear on some abbreviations. WSO is a warrior special offer? and AMR is?

$100 isn't enough for 2 chicks, is just wasting your money mate...i would carefully choose what's best for a tight budget.

Great point! In fact, for hookers you don't even need real money.

Save that $100 bill, use it to print 5 of them, rub them under your arm pits, and they will never notice.

In fact I just did this last wee...

I meeaannn... I have to take a wee. Yeh thats it. Ok bye.

Well.. Speaking for myself, I have never paid for sex in my life!

... and that has really pissed off a lot of hookers!

I'd probably spend them right away in some things I've been meaning to get on eBay.

When I started my online business, I also have $100 in hand, I tried to use it in two ways, divide it on half: one for a service that was from SYA - for my article marketing and then I try to be part of a community- invest on a community worthy for a startup business.

I would definitely embrace a model (selling own product, affiliate, ... )
then split and test, you should act upon a plan and track results, if something isn't working, tweak it or change it.....

and even if you fail and lose the 100$ ...
Hey ! you just learned some methods that won't work (at least for you).

    thanks and good luck.

Think of money as a tool. You can't turn a BIG screw with a precision screwdriver. If I were you, I would work on building that $100 budget until it was maybe $10,000. Then, take that investment, set up an e-commerce site, and hire some people to write seo articles, buy software to auto-post those articles throughout the net, buy a few high PR websites to put backlinked articles onto, etc.

Growing $100 to $10,000... invest in a solid penny stock if you're really, really good at market research or just pay the $40 for a WSO and offer an ebook, a training course, or a new software program (whatever you can do).

Since you asked what would one do with the benefit of hindsight...

I'd pay $40 for a WSO (assuming you were already a War Room member), $19/$17 for WSO Pro/JVZoo...or go with adaptive...and search the WSO section to see if you could come up with a product...be it PLR articles (involves writing at your own pace), graphics (if you know how to create them), etc.

Then, I'd get Aweber (or similar) for $1 the first month and you're still under your $100. Run your WSO, start building a list of buyers, maybe get affiliates to promote for you (depending on your product) and earn...hopefully...at least your money back but have a list of buyers.

In hindsight, that's what I would do if I had to start from scratch again. There are too many benefits to list by selling your own products. Also, you should be able to earn THAT day as opposed to squidoo, SEO, or other time-intensive marketing strategies.

Ultimately though, you want to diversify so adding a mix to your marketing bag is good. But again, you asked about hindsight

    Best of luck!

I have to respectfully and 100% disagree. I started with a big fat investment of $0 and made a few hundred dollars in my first month. So, it is possible, I've done it.

      To the OP:

If I were you I'd buy a sub to the War Room - there's a crazy amount of free information in there which will easily get you going - some of the blueprints in there require a very small amount of investment, which you'd probably be able to afford.

Give it a go, you really won't regret it!

I'd setup an authority niche blog and use the money to purchase good compelling content then grow the site through social media and either monetize it or flip it for a great profit and move on.

I'm with Promo_Guy. I would focus on creating a WSO and build a buyers list. I would first spend about $10 of those dollars and purchase a WSO on how to run a successful WSO, basically telling you the ins and outs of what the process is, how to prepare properly, writing sales copy, etc. There are a few good, detailed products about running a WSO.

Then with the list and knowledge you can add another skill to your arsenal.

Good thing about it is you can be earning money within one week. Additionally you will be building that list to be able to market to in the future. This is awesome stuff.

If you are an experienced SEO person then I think you can use this 100$ very effectively. And if you can do that you can get good profit too.
If I were you, I would use the money for my CB site. I would invest on some experienced SEO man to do the optimization. The rate should be so much low because he is not going to think anything, he will be doing the things that I will tell him to do

If you can lose the $100 then I would test out PPC marketing if I was in your position. There are some search engines that have cheaper clicks like 7 Search. You can get some quality traffic at 7 search for .20 cents a click. You need to make sure there is not CF or SF attached to the keywords. Its best to do the keywords as exact match to get quality traffic other wise the traffic will be crap. By the way are you sending the people to a funnel?
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[6685487].message }}
    • Profile picture of the author tmanifold
No funnel. Right now I am concentrating on building my blogs and increasing adsense earnings. Going to use blogs as a vehicle to affliate programs, etc. But mainly, I am curious what experienced marketers see as the best bang for the buck as a new marketer.
