Hi Warriors,

Sorry that I've been away for so long.
I'm so Happy right now that I could just burst!

As many of my Warrior Friends know, I vanished back in October 2011 due to
the fact that my employment with a company I had been with for 24 years
CLOSED with out giving the employees notice!

All that aside and to keep this short as possible, here is what has happened
to me since then.(Excluding my Online Businesses)

When I posted the thread here on the Warrior Forum telling everyone that I may
be away for awhile, many Warriors posted positive uplifting replies in support.

Thank You from the bottom of my Heart!

I wasn't depressed or negative in my post, mostly positive trying to figure
what may lye ahead???

Well here is the short and long of my past 9 months. I hope it helps others
not to give up and to see that life is what you make it.

***Here We Go***

After learning I no longer had employment I decided to take some time off to
evaluate all the data.(ie, What The Hell Am I Going To Do???)

After 30 day of doing nothing other than spending time with my family and
wiping out my savings, I decided I needed to get up and do something.

It dawned on me that there were people in KY and IND that had lost
there Homes via flooding and tornado's. Knowing that their loss was much
greater than mine and it could give me perspective I decided to volunteer my help.

Anyway, for the next two and a half months that's what I did. Help them rebuild their homes.

It gave me a tremendous felling of satisfaction and the next thing I knew
someone offered me a job as a re-builder in my own local area!!!

Now if you know me then you know me as an Electronics Engineer and part
time an Internet Marketer, well, I have been here on earth for awhile and
have learned many trades...lol ;-)

I talked to the guy and accepted his offer to help me as he seen I was
helping others in need.

As of last week, I had been approached by a Locally Owned Fast Food Chain
asking me if I could do Wall Paper in their stores?

Thinking how the Hell does an Electronics Engineer go from Electronics to
Construction and then to Wall Paper I had to tell him I would get back to him.

Long story short, I accepted the Wall Paper Job and they really liked our
(mine and my wife's) work/price so much, we now have 5 more local stores to do
and they are promising others in this and other local resterant chains he
owns.

It's weird how life deals you the cards?

I guess you just have to believe and roll with the punches in order to get
to what it has to offer.

Sorry about the long and short being so long...lol
I tried to say it in as few words as I could.

Have a Great Day!
Michael

edited: Changed the Title to better reflect the subject while also practicing
my Head Lines since I've not done them in a while...lol

Ummm, also edited to correct spelling and grammar mistakes.

      Welcome back, Mr. Mayo!

Happy to hear you came out of the valley with a smile on your face.

Truth be told, I saw the subject line, rolled my eyes, and thought 'oh, geeze'. Then I saw your name under it, and had to see what you had to say.

      I'm glad I did...

        LOL...John, after I posted I had to change it a little...lol

I was, "Did you seriously just post that Subject Title???"
Okay, I'm a little rusty but I wasn't selling any thing and as you, my other friends will know that too.

Although, I did change it just a little to practice....lol

I know I started this post and I will return later. I have to go and complete the 2nd job
now as I can only do it from the time they close their dinning room to the time they
open in the morning.(6hrs each night)

I have been looking for people that do wallpaper work to fulfill the tasks so that my wife
and I can scout for more work in the future. John Taylor, I will never forget that advise.
    Thankyou!

    Everyone, Have a Great Day!

Nice to see you back Michael.

I still have one of your works of art (think meatloaf) on my 404 pages. If you would ever like a link back to a site from them, just send me the url.

Desk jobs are murder on your health and I'm trying to work in as much physical work as possible. Besides that, there is a lot more money offline than online. You never know which way a business can branch out.

In other words I'm trying to swing my life around to the way you've got yours now.

Nice to hear that everything is going beautifully.

      Hey Michael,

      Great story!

Life can and does throw us all "curve balls"

And it's usually at the times when we least
want or think we need them..

And they're not comfortable times going through them,
but when we come out the other side..

The growth as people and the lessons learned
serve us well for our future..

I think helping others, at a time when you
were probably thinking some assistance for
yourself would be good, is highly commendable..

It's people like you we should see, celebrated
on the "news at 6pm" more often..

      Well done you champion..

Okay, I tried to post this earlier and my connection tanked... :-(

I know this belongs in the Website & Design section here on the WF(and I will also post it
there soon)although, many of my WF Friends don't frequent that section and I value
their input. This is to help me sort the chaff from the other section. Thanks!

I have received an existing website as a client and this client is the person that helped
me by giving me a job in construction when I needed it.

He is using the Joomla platform.

My question is... Should I continue using Joomla to create the site or build it from
    scratch?

He builds Million Dollar Homes and has recently started renovating older homes to resell.

Your Thoughts would be very appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Have a Great Day!
    Michael

Here is his present site: http://www.sunshinebuildersllc.com/

What would you do other than remove all the Joomla references?

I remember seeing your post and I actually was wondering what ever happened to you just a few months ago. I'm glad to see you have found a new path.

This is why one should never give up hope no matter how bad a person's life may be, you just never know what tomorrow will bring! I've experienced this many times.

    Congrats!
