How Do I share clickbank affilite link across the web?

A few months ago I started promoting click bank products. Through this time I am trying to find some ways IM'ers are finding it easy way to spread their affiliate link across the web. Some ideas such as press release, social bookmarking, youtube video creation? Which marketing strategies are you currently using with the new Google updates. I seem to think press releases work the best given the authority links and most important traffic it generates. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I think it might be a good idea to think of it as "bringing your affiliate link in front of willing buyers" rather than "spreading it around the web"

What works for me is creating (really valuable) niche content sites and regularly adding new content to them. Old-style and labor intensive, but it keeps working and working, even through all the Google algorhythm changes.

Hey, Ethan. You really need to have a blog. There are a couple of reasons for this. First, the most targeted (and free) traffic comes from the search engines. Your goal is to target people who are at the end of the buying cycle. These people have already been exposed to the product and are just looking for a nudge in the right direction. They look up things by product and author names, reviews and so on.

Secondly, having a blog on your own domain also allows you to build a list of targeted buyers. The cool thing about having a e-mail list in conjunction with a blog is that a certain number of people who come to your blog via search will automatically sign up to your list without you have to do anything. Want to quick cash? Send out a broadcast e-mail. This works as a second income stream.

Finally, if you are going to be publishing articles on other sites, you need to make sure that your landing or product review pages are on your own domain. The reason for this is because when it comes to search, it's your review pages that are going to be making you commissions. It's important you control that content. Once your blog gains traction in the search engines, you won't even need to use article sites any more. You'll just be able to post articles straight on your blog.

Hi Ethan,

I've been making more than 90% of my living as a ClickBank affiliate for years, but I have absolutely no intention of "spreading my affiliate links across the web". I think it's a completely misguided approach. My affiliate links go on my websites and in my emails. I wouldn't want them appearing anywhere else.

The same ones I've always used. I've just found (like many other article marketers here) that the new Google updates, just like all the Panda updates of 2011, have done us great favors.

Article marketing always seems to be the beneficiary of Google algorithm changes.

Taking out of our way all the SEO potential/value of article directories (where we wouldn't want our potential customers to go) and competitors who've done spammy/mass/automated/non-context-relevant backlinking always makes it easier for us to rank our own sites.
