one year and counting

It is exactly one year one month i have been involved with internet marketing specifically affiliate marketing. I have not made even a cent. But one good thing is that I have learnt a lot in that time and hopefully can only do better in my second year. Even though I have not made a sale or commission I am still exited about building my own business. Hope to keep learning from this forum.

Is that your site in your sign? Get out of the IM niche. Think about what people actually buy online.

I agree with this. You can't teach somebody something that you don't know yourself.

I made very little my first year.

Most people have given up by the six month mark so hang in there.

      I beg to differ, LOL

I spent quite a bit of $$ buying IM training. Some of it I regret.

    Hi,

Keep on doing until you earn your first dollar.

Once you get your first dollar, you will know how to make the 2nd dollar and more.

Thumb rule of entrepreneurial success: Work from 10 AM to 10 PM for 10 years and you might succeed.

Find means to get cash flow positive ASAP. If you need, take up part time job and reinvest in your venture. The path is not easy but it's very rewarding if you create real value / solve real problem for your niche.

      Best of Luck!

As previously mentioned, if that's your site in the signature, seriously just scrap it.

Start fresh with some good guidance from a niche your interested in, chose a good product/ebook/course and follow it applying your own twists to the methods and eventually your work will start to pay off.

Sounds like you have the will and dedication; you just need to find a niche that you know something about.

I have found it much easier to sale physical products, with Amazon being my biggest affiliate network. I have devoted my time to producing a physical product now, but the knowledge I have learned from this site and trial and error is what I hope will lead to my success with this new product.

Focus on something you know about and enjoy. It will make it much easier and more fun; then the sales will begin rolling in, hopefully.

If you've been at it for a year and haven't made any money and are still staying positive and doing it, then you will succeed. I agree with others, try and get cash flow positive as quickly as possible with whatever, it'll help you stay afloat and keep at it. Usually people give up right before they we're about to break through a barrier!

My advice to you is to put into action what you have learnt in your 1st year (or until now). A lot of people do not practice the skills and information they have gained and end up giving up. Take time and take action every time you learn something new.
