I'm moving to Spain in a couple of months at the end of September. I'm from the UK and starting a new business over there with my Dad. There are loads of Brits there but what I wanted to create was a Facebook page and get people to join, this isn't actually intended for the business I'm starting at all but more for socialising and networking just making friends out there. They don't have any socialising FB pages so I looked at all the businesses that had Facebook accounts in the area that were for English speaking people and put a post on each page mentioning this.

So yea, that's basically it, I posted it on a bunch of the businesses that have Nerja in the title and look English. I have one 'like' so far, that's it! The only other ways I know without being there in Spain yet is to do facebook Advertising or put an Ad in a community magazine. Are there any marketers out there that can see an avenue I'm missing to get people to join?
