Let's say I would want to capture email address at my sales page (and my product is sold via Clickbank) - say, at http://www.abc.com

When I do an email follow up with the lead with a 'plain' URL (http://www.abc.com - ie NOT an affiliate link) will my affiliate which first referred the lead to me still get credited?

Yes - the first affiliate link will set a cookie which ensures
your affiliate will be credited for all items in your account

    Thanks Harvey.

I have been sending traffic to this particular CB merchant, and found that he captures the email addresses and then sends out emails with HIS own affiliate link.

This is definitely not the way to treat your affiliates!

      That's not good at all.

I'm putting together an affiliate center for a Clickbank product right now, and I'm making it a selling point that affiliates will still get the sale if a prospect buys during 60 days of follow up emails.

I guess we're not allowed to name the CB product this is happening on, are we?

When the merchant first approached me a few months back, he showed me a 'clean' sales page with no opt-in. I then sequenced his ads in my newsletter and then totally forgot about it.

I did a random check yesterday and found this.

I can't name the CB product obviously, but I can tell you the niche... it's dating.
