I was scanning my computer and noticed my cookie folder was at C:/documents and setting/myname/cookies When I try to go to that it doesn't show up. I have show hidden files and folders clicked but still no show. Any idea how to get to it? Thanks in advanced! |

I don't know Charles but this reminds me of something similar that recently happened. Windows initiated an overnight auto-reboot - I usually take auto-save for granted and I lost 5 days worth of writing on my book with the auto-reboot because auto-save wasn't saving my work - when I searched my computer for the auto-save folder it doesn't exist - gone like your cookie folder. Everything was gone - I now click that save button whenever I think about it. Reminds me of the good 'ol days. X |

Charles - Maybe I have the same disease! Do you mean the cookies that were set on your computer? (tools/options/privacy) I lost a bag of cookies once and never found them - but I think the dog had something to do with that one. Probably not the same problem as I doubt your cookies are that tasty. kay |

Kay - We had a bag of the best Moose Crunch in the world disappear. I had it stashed where the kids couldn't get it and it's just gone. It's been a year now and I'm still looking for it - X |

Kay, my scanner says they are at c:/documentsandsettings/myname/cookies/ but when I go there I don't see any cookie folder. I had a dog that ate a whole wedding cake once, I thought my girlfriend at the time was going to kill him as she made the cake for a wedding. Funny part is, she ran out of icing and we put the cake in the oven so it would be safe. The dog opened up the over door and ate the cake....I thought it was hilarious, she didn't think it was funny at all...sometimes she didn't have a sense of humor ![]() Quote:

Charles, If all else fails, go to START>Search>all Documents and Files I periodically suffer from sometimers disease too and Search never fails to find what I'm looking for....IF I can remember what it's called. ![]() I had the same problem as you last night. I was reading something related to cooking stuffing and decided to check my system. I couldn't find the folder...but Searching for 'cookie' showed I had 2 folders!! and a few stragglers. A few were set by internet provider but most were garbage. Good Luck Carol Carol |

Hey Charles, It's not a problem on your end. I don't have mine in the directory either. It disapeared after MS's last couple of updates, or right after service pack 3 came out ... can't remember which. It ticks me off because I can't go in and delete them when I need to, especially "yieldmanager" cookies. Lol about the cake. It's a shame your girl didn't have a good sense of humor. After your dog went though all of that trouble, he deserved a little something. ![]() Hey Kay, Quote:

Cookie folder should be in Windows. Can use SpyBot from The home of Spybot-S&D! It will find cookies from (usually) advertising sites. Then follow the path to where the cookies are located. |
