Bookmarking Links . Do they still have any power ?

Hi all ! I hope you all doing great ! I have question about bookmarking type of links . I have manually bookmarked my website to a 40 top bookmarking websites and Bam .. website dropped 20 positions
What the hell is happening , are this backlinks can actually damage my website rankings ? Shell we not use social bookmarking sites to get backlinks no more ?

    You need not worry about your SERP rankings,this is a normal phenomenon by google known as "Google dance".Ping your websites url's you will get your positions back
