Anybody else seeing a "summer slowdown" on freelance sites?

I'm noticing this in a big way on odesk, somewhat less so on elance.

It seems that we're getting into the vacation part of the summer now and people are less interested in hiring.

My WFH thread is also getting a lot less views after the most recent bump compared to when I bumped it in May.

I googled the word "Summer slowdown" and apparently it turns out this is a really well known phenomnenon that all ebay sellers contend with, so I guess it's the same for those of us on freelance sites as well?

    I suppose the trick now will be to tie everything to Olympics keywords! Going for gold.. etc. to jump on the bandwagon!
