Default Strange issue with CLICKBANK...

I read in a post here that if you re-join ClickBank, you will make sales because I know that a Lot of people have been having issues with ClickBank's commissions not being tracked properly in the past few months.

I actually signed up with a new account and made 3 sales in 3 days this past week and I gave that product a little exposure. with my old account, I had 0 sales in a long time.

Any comments? What is going on?

ahhhh

You have found the same thing I did

I have no idea what is up with them. Seriously, last week one of my accounts was on ZERO sales for 2 weeks plus...

Switched the clickbank ID to a new account and have gotten 2-3 sales a day for the past 5 days...

Definitely makes you think, huh?

LOL, yep I made a new account 6 days ago and now sales are flowing again.

CB has major issues..... this is real. Its only a matter of time before legal issues are involved.

So how many accounts can you actually have on Clickbank as an affiliate? Is it just as simple as going to Clickbank and signing up as if you never had an account?

Thanks

I have updated all my links with the new account.

It really pisses my off because it is such a horrible feeling that I could have actually lost a lot of money.

As a vendor, who wants to make sure his affiliates get paid, but is tired of paying affiliates manually, who else would you suggest to use besides clickbank?

Stop promoting clickbank products and you will sleep better at night. For some its like an addiction in thinking cb is the only player in town. The landscape of affiliate marketing is bigger than this. There is only trust that stands between a network and affiliates. Once that is shown to be a problem, you have nothing but people getting cheated of commissions. I wouldn't allow clickbank to get my promotion time or marketing dollars.

Wow, this makes a lot of sense. I've noticed a big drop in sales since way back when the tracking system broke or whatever it did a couple of months ago.

If you start a new account and swap out all your links will you have to go through the same wait as when you started the first account? And the three checks before Direct Deposit again? I'm sure the answer is yes , I would just like someone to clarify that.

Clickbank has been having wierd tracking issues for YEARS. It wins the lifetime "old unreliable" award.

Managing an affiliate program with clickbank is about as appealing as managing a trailer park in Las Vegas.

Man, really does make me think, presumably you had to set up an entirely new CB account, and resubmit your products and site again or is there an easier way to achieve this ?

Thanks for posting this issue. I am going to split test and track my affiliate sales with both old and new clickbank user Ids. I suggest fellow warriors to split test and make sure whether this tracking problem is real or just a rumor.

Have a nice day,

Well I just switched one of my pages to my other CB account and check my stats this morning. And sure enough made a sale. I haven't made a sale for this certain product in 4 days. I will switch all my pages to the new account and see what happens.

I've noticed a massive drop in Clickbank earnings recently... within 72 hours after a product launch I had over 11,000 -- now there's almost nothing coming in from that product.

Think I'll be trying some place else in future.

wow, this issue really worries me.. I also worried about this problem.. my new account still didn't making any sales since 1 month of become a Clickbank affiliate marketer. I also worries that if my account still didn't making any sales after 2 month, Clickbank will charge me 1 dollar a day.

Does it mean that I have to open new account now? Is it okay for Clickbank if I open new account using the same contact information?

You might want to try with another account.

Have you been receiving traffic to the promotion page? Do you know how many clicks the product has got?

I have noticed a drop off in conversions , on some sites quite dramatically, some on sites I own and some I send traffic to on an affiliate basis.

On the sites I own I have an Aweber form which sits After the CB payment process and the Aweber stats seem to be tallying with the CB sales figures,at least for the last 3 days I've just gone and checked.

This tends to suggest that if CB are having problems , it would have to be a problem that included not tracking the sale andregistering it our accounts but also not passing the customer on to the vendors thank you page.

However I can't see this being realistic because the vendors would moan like crazy to CB that they didn't get the product and CB would have to refund them anyway so no $$$ gain there.

I started promoting my own product last week and so far no sales. Frankly speaking, i get less then 50 hops per day but i expected at least 1 sale. Not saying its their tracking but adsense converts pretty high in this site and i expected the product to convert too.

I set up a new account and haven't gotten sales for that one, but I did notice that my main one has had 2 sales in the middle of the night (when server is faster) a couple of days this week. I know when I login at clickbank sometimes it takes forever for the page to load. If this happens to customers when they try to pay, things may time out or just not track properly. I'd be curious if anyone has tested and compared username accounts created during different time periods at clickbank- my main one is several years old and can go for days without sales, yet get sales in middle of night.

My account has been giving me consistent sales day after day, I never had a problem really, sales drops can also be attributed to many factors like - competitors, SERPS, demand for product, its not always the tracking issue. I think some people use that as a excuse for lack of marketing nous

About a week ago one of my accounts that earns me a consistent $150 - $200 a day (with just one product) went down to $0 for 3 days. I knew something wasn't right so I opened up a new account, changed all my links and whaddya know? Earnings back to normal again. It's pretty annoying having to go back to checks again but I do get good conversions from Clickbank so I won't be ditching them just yet.

For those who are making consistant sales on clickbank, I am wondering what your promotion method of choice is? I am assuming PPC for the most part, but what other methods work for you...

I have not seen this suggestion here yet so I'll make it (if anyone in this thread already mentioned it I apologize for repeating). Why not direct your visitors into a file you host on your own domain and set up redirect into your affiliate link? Then if you decide to use a different affiliate ID, just change redirect into a new hoplink with your new ClickBank ID? You can also set up a PHP script that will ulternate redirect to old hoplink/new hoplink just like split testing. This way you will know for sure if this is an issue with old ClickBank ID

Clickbank is just annoying. I'm still experiencing patterns of a week of continuous sales, than a week of zeros. It makes absolutely no sense. I even send Clickbank support emails. I don't even bother complaining because they've basically told me they're not going to help me. So I just email them messages saying "I was looking at my account. It makes me laugh. Does it make you laugh?"
