How successful have you been?

How long did it take you to make some money?

-- A couple of weeks after launching. Maybe a little less than a month.

-- I am. Around 1-3 sales per day on a $27 product.

Did you make contact with affiliates to let them know you have a product?

-- I didn't. This was one of my first online ventures.

What niches are you operating in?

-- A business model I created based on buying and selling cell phones.

Sure I have a couple of products on Clickbank, dozens more that I sell on my own sites (not using CB), membership sites, etc...

CB is a platform - I would take my guidance by looking at topics that are already doing well on CB (where there are a good variety of products with some top sellers, decent gravity over 20-30). I have found that when I stick to these topic areas on CB I do well (mainly because partners look for products to promote in these areas). But when I stray into other markets where CB is light, I have done better by going with my own affiliate program.

Of course, it doesn't matter what platform you use to sell your ebook, if it isn't in demand, doesn't have a terrific sales letter and isn't well marketed - it won't matter.

In terms of finding affiliates, when first starting out I always go after several affiliates myself...try and take the low hanging fruit (authority sites that promote other affiliate products) and build up sales/gravity that way.

Ideally you keep up that proactive approach, but eventually you do start to see a build-up of affiliates finding you instead of the other way around...assuming you build up some momentum.

Yes been selling on Clickbank since 2005 or so. Was tough to begin with without a network of affiliates but that has soon grown.

My best one to date pulled in $250k in 7 days (and a further $250k in the months after) and love how easy CB is to sell on with payments and refund taken care of and now the one click upsell technology.

Tip: It helps to have a dedicated account manager if you start to grow in that direction.

I've had lots of luck. I made a lot more myself though. It's tough to always rely on affiliates.

I've made great money using ClickBank.

If you're expecting to just post a product on clickbank and have all the affiliates do the work. You will not have a good outcome.

Especially if your product is a Biz Op or IM targeted product. The success of these types of products are mainly born by affiliates mailing their list. Not setting up an SEO campaign.

I would also recommend testing it first by doing a WSO here in the WF. This will help you dial in your sales copy, increase conversion rate and working out bugs.

Once you've learn all that. Publish it to ClickBank and network with affiliates who have lists.

I launched a Clickbank product as one of my first online ventures when I was around 13 years old.

Back then I figured all I had to do was create a product, stick it on Clickbank and the sales would flow in.

Unfortunately, I only ever made like $500 from that product in the 3+ years its been on there.

As someone else mentioned CLickbank is just a platform for selling, it's not a magic bullet. I created an IM related product, which is partially why it didn't do well.

IM products, Forex, personal development and niches alike make most of their moeny during launch phase. Their success comes from affiliates. If you don't want to get into product launches biz; you can launch CB products in niches outside of the mainstream health, wealth and relationships.

Look deeper for niches with little vendor competition, but a lot of traffic. Niches like yeast infection, mole removal and others that have little product competition, but a lot of traffic.

Sometimes with those niches, you'll make money by simply listing a product. I think that you should at the bare minimum work towards getting your cb product on the first page of Clickbank in its category.

In doing so you'll get natural affiliates and sales, for the long haul.
