Internet Marketing Power Lies In The VA

I don't know about you guys, but learning how to outsource is probably the single greatest thing I've learned in my internet marketing journey. I'm at the point where my VA's pretty much do all the work and I can sit back. I still work though, but mainly on learning new skill and techniques...which I will eventually teach my VA's.

Sooner or later I'm going to have to hire a personal assistant...then I can truly become lazy...haha jk.

Anyway, I just wanted to make the suggestion to some people, that if you haven't yet discovered the power of having a VA, you really should look into it. You can be a jack of all trades and spend hours upon hours working... or you can be an outsourcer of all trades and enjoy your day...up to you.

Probably one of the best advice you can give to a beginner. Always have a mechanism to outsource your daily tasks or you'll end up exchanging valuable family time for IM.

The only problem is finding a reliable VA but once that is done, it's as good as rinse and repeat.

Outsourcing for me is the closest to an autopilot IM income. Period.

The keys to making this work are:

    1) hiring the right people with good skills / ethics / capable of learning
    2) offering great training to them when they need it
    3) treating them well
    4) managing the whole process well.

You really can't afford to miss any of these items, or the process breaks.

Number 3 is very important. Treat your VA well and you'll have someone who's motivated and determined to help you succeed. That's the difference between employers who are "lucky" to find such great VAs and those who can't seem to find any decent help.

There's something better than VA's... paid advertising. You can scale it up or down at anytime you want, and the more successful you get with it, the more you can invest into advertising, and the more money you can make. Autopilot business without any employees.

Yea, I ALWAYS hire people based on trust. I use to do otherwise and I ended up getting a lot of unfinished jobs and a lot of incompetant workers who were hard to get a hold of....very frustrating.

Agree. I've just started a blog where I'm teaching ordinary business folk how to hire a VA. I think it's at the point where even regular non-IM people (i.e. teachers) can benefit from this.

Agreed. I was lucky to find 2 very reliable and sharp V.A.s who save me lots of time on various tasks.

    The trick is finding them.

Yep. I totally agree with this post. Outsourcing really frees up your time and allows you to focus on the stuff that will actually make you money instead of on tiny tasks such as backlinking

Agree that Outsourcing is very powerful, if you set up the right systems for your VAs

First thing is to do it yourself, if you can make $1000 per month doing it (minimum) then you can use a VA to scale and replace yourself.

Also agree that advertising is better (because it's much faster and more scaleable), however it requires a lot more money to scale and it's hard to find good areas that are not too competitive on adwords, there is a lot of competition and you need to be earning more than the competition in order to have a high enough earning per click to scale your advertising

I agree that the hardest part is finding a good VA. Personally I have hired 2 and have not had much success. Could anyone recommend a good place where I could find a good VA? Thanks!

The only thing I do is research and posting to my own blog. All other tasks are done by my VA...

This is actually the thing that I am working on right now and I consider this a big project. There are lots of freelance sites but without verification of the VA's skills, it is difficult to find a real good one.

If you can able to find out one expert VA, actually there is nothing to do from your part except observation. But find out one good VA is not easy one and it is also a common practice that your VA tries to take your position and try to find out another one for his VA!

Guys - to source VAs there are several options:

    1) Craigslist in the Philippines
    2) Paid sites like BestJobs.ph and OnlineJobs.ph
    3) Freelance sites like oDesk and Elance

... and 4) OutsourceFactor, which is completely free to use and has hundreds of VA resumes from many countries including the Philippines.

#1, 2 and 4 allow you to hire people directly. #3 is about hiring somebody through someone else's system, and not having a real employee working directly for you.

The simple one trick on hiring VA from Philippines is to have your own system organized first. You'll get messy if you will rely to your VA on the first few days. Proper online interview, tests, business introduction (making your VA understand what you're up to and what kind of business you have), salary, communication are some factors to consider in getting a reliable VA, or turning your VA into a reliable one. Bribery always work on the business, so as to VA's loyalty and honesty, even you both are working miles away

I agree. You must never put all your eggs in one basket when outsourcing. Take it slowley and if you have any doubts about the proficiency of the VA, move on to someone else. The Philippines is a great place to find a VA, but it is also a minefield, so tread carefully.

I agree with everyone up above as well. I've used a VA's in the past and they have proved more then valuable to me. Ive always picked up my VA's from odesk.com and a recommendation I would like to make is to try to hire Filipino VA's. They are very loyal, diligent, and hardworking and they have been a huge help to me.

Never put all of your eggs in one basket. VAs are the absolute best way to grow your business. They allow you to take what is working in one area and repeat it in a new area. This allows you to grow your business without relying too heavily on one area.

If you find a quality VA treat them like royalty. It is not unusual for you to increase the rate that you are paying your VAs on a regular basis once your business starts growing. Consider taking 10% of what you earn each year and in December paying that amount as a bonus to your VAs. You will buy loyalty by doing this and it will dramatically increase your business.
