Give me your opinion on my website please

A friend of mine turned me on to the Warrior Forum and the possibilities of IM a few months ago and since then I've been lurking and absorbing as much as I can (can you say brain overload?) It took me awhile to get a site together and decide what to do with it since I was pretty much computer illiterate when it came to the tech stuff but I've gotten it mostly done. I've started promoting it using articles and and would like others viewpoints. It's the website in my signature and I'd appreciate comments and ideas if you'll share them.
( Good or bad )

It's a wordpress site using a theme that I found that I think fits in with my content. I know the Build your own Solar Dehydrator page is blank when you click it as I'm going to finish it tomorrow when I have time.

Please note I am NOT trying to drive traffic to my site by posting this thread to sell my product. I just want honest opinions of how it looks and how I could make it better.

Thanks for your help!

Not an inoffensive site Joshua and not a bad wordpress theme - although I think the green is a little too bright for the subject matter - it's more electric green than plant green if you get what I'm saying. I don't think you're making the most of your copy to say the least. Whilst it reads nicely, it doesn't really grab the reader. Make more of headlines, subheaders and bullet points just as a start.

I can see that you've got a couple of affiliate links in place which are all well and good, but you've not got any way of building a list just yet. Get your Aweber/GetResponse account sorted and put up an opt-in box asap - I'm sure you could rustle up a decent e-book/report to entice sign ups. That way you could inform your customers of new affiliate offers and possibly create your own products too.

Its not bad overall.... I agree the green in the horizontal bars on each side is probably too bright. They stand out more than the copy around it and makes the rest seem less noticeable. You might also consider adding a little WELCOME info at the top instead of at the bottom of the page.

Thank you both for voting and replying with helpful tips. I definitely need to figure out how to change the bright green to a more subdued version.

I was just putting something up that I thought would work and this needs work right away. Also, the Aweber/GetResponse account is great idea.

Originally I had this, but when I posted the Solar comment with my sales link it pushed it down the page. I've considered deleting it and reposting it so it will appear at the top again and your feedback tells me I should. (Or figure out a differant way to keep it up there.)
