Hello, what do you think, is it good or bad idea placing affiliate links in the home page?

Or It would be better only in posts?

It all depends. Are you trying to build a list or just monetize traffic or both? If you're just trying to monetize traffic I would put the ads in the most conspicuous place possible without being overbearing.

intergen, monetize traffic, my doubt is something like if would be accurate an affiliate links in the home page...sometimes I think this would have nothing to do...maybe the posts which would be more relevant

And I think maybe google could think is a bit spammy

So I think better I use the home page without affiliate links

Althogh in a sidebar of course

Really depends how you go about it. Just putting affiliate links on a page won't get you very far by itself. You need to look at where the traffic is coming from, is it pre-conditioned, are you leading them into buying (through a convincing article for example), is the traffic targeted. is it CPC traffic etc. etc.
You really need to add some kind of value to get conversions up - or in fact get any conversions at all.

Of course it is ok unless your doing this for pure enjoyment, or for charity

Just use them in moderation. A few here, and a few there, and related to whatever your blogging about.

P.S. Make sure your capturing email leads also from your blog, or website visitors.

I don't see anything wrong with putting affiliate links on a homepage. Just don't overdo it. After all, we want to show people that our site has great content and this is the reason why people go to our sites.
