Question about Google Indexing

After you've made a post to your blog, how do you know if it has been indexed by Google?

How long does it usually take Google to index new content on your site?

Thanks in advance,

Shyley

You should go to google and type in Site: with your URL here. It will send back a list of indexed pages on your blog.

Also to get your posts indexed automagically use the MaxBlogPress or CNET ping optimizers. They are free and ping various sites to let them know that you have new content and they will then come and crawl (and index) your content.

Copy your blog posts title and do a search on Google and see if you can find it!

If it is indexed you will see your blog posts title and your sites URL in the search results.

Tip: I always use a service called Pingomatic to speed up the process just copy your blog posts url and paste it into the form, check the boxes, and click submit.

    Hope that helps.

Simply i copy the url of the post and then Google it. Thats it. If it's already indexed google show the url as result. If not indexed Google will not show the url in the result page.

For even faster indexing you can do a few posts on the likes of Reddit.

I like doing the site:domain.com but I also do that on the blogs section of Google search (a couple tabs over from search).

I also like to look for a few words of text, so if you do a google search in "" with a few words that you copy from the post then it should show up. Also if you do this when you are posting articles to article directories then you can see who is also posting your article.
