You need a place to promote affiliate products. A website will act as your storefront for customers to see what you're offering.

To create a website, you need a domain name. $10.00.

You'll need hosting to put your website. Roughly $7.00 per month.

You need a website. I'd recommend Wordpress considering its easy to add content and is a great platform for affiliate sites. You'll have to pay someone if you can't do it yourself. You can probably get away with a semi decent free theme for less than $100.

Then you just have to create content, and promote your site. I don't want it to sound easy because it isn't. But don't sign up for clickbank and start promoting products all over the web. It's spam and it's annoying. You may make a sale or two but most people will recognize it as spam and affiliate marketing.

To build a sustainable site, add quality content and aim to actually help your audience. Money will follow.

        Ignore my signature.

If you want to be successful, you will need somewhere to sell your product. A website is a good start.

I'm a full-time (more or less) ClickBank affiliate. I can't offer to teach you at all, but if it helps/interests you, if you read this little post and follow all the links in it, you'll see almost the whole of my "business model" explained (I have no idea whether it'll be a suitable one for you, but if nothing else, it might give you some "background reading" directly focused on promoting ClickBank products as an affiliate, and prompt you to formulate some more specific questions to ask?) http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post5721774

Whatever you do, you need some sort of website, even if it's only a one-page one, because you can't really build lists without one, and you can't really make affiliate sales of ClickBank products without list-building (not with any real success, anyway). Regarding your question about having a website, this is kind of "the bottom line".

Learn how to create a self hosted WordPress blog with your own domain name. In my opinion this is a great way to have a website as an affiliate. It`s important that you find a big market that you want to promote to. Do research and identify who your is your targeted costumer. Create a profile of them. Create some great content like articles videos and add quality offers to your website. Learn how to drive targeted traffic. Always try o get the lead, you need to build a list of potential costumers. If you don`t have a list you are not in business. That some basic mandatory information. I do teach people how to launch their own product online and also how to promote other people`s products (affiliate marketing).

It`s important that you find out what works and stick to it. My advice would be, don`t buy every shiny new product on the market, because you will get overwhelmed and confused. This is a mistake of many beginners.

This is where I would start, at least for the site building experience. There are so many free tutorials for WP online. Literally you can type in your specific problem and find dozens of search results.

I agree that you'll need a website, which should include an optin form where you offer an ethical bribe (something your potential buyers are looking for) in exchange for their email address.

Then send them on to the affiliate offer. And send follow-up emails to build a relationship. etc.

There are a few products out there that actually help you with those things, so all you have to do is upload them to your site and get traffic to them.

Of course, getting the traffic is another big challenge, but take it one thing and site at a time, then add the next one, and the next one, and it will grow.

        Good luck!

re Building a website- wordpress blogs are fairly simple and are well known for ranking well in the search engines- I would suggest taking a look into setting one up. Alternatively, you could always purchase an existing site from a forum in an appropriate niche, if you have money to invest you can pick them up relatively cheaply.

My advice is that affiliate marketing is not a short term venture - it takes time, dedication and hard work but once you reach a certain level CAN be lucrative. It's essentially a very simple business model - you buy something (website/traffic/content) and sell something for more (a product or service sale/conversion).

There are usually 3 parts/stumbling blocks involved in becoming a successful affiliate:

    1. Building a website
    - You will need somewhere to direct your traffic even if it's a 1-page review site where you "pre-sell" a product or service to your target audience.

    2. Traffic
    - Once you have successfully built a website, you need to attract appropriate visitors. The more highly-targeted your audience is the higher chance you have of making sales/conversions.

    3. Conversion Rate Optimisation
    - When you are getting a large amount of traffic, optimising your website/copy will convert more visitors into buyers resulting in more commission $$$

Once you have these 3 cracked I'm sure you will be making a nice return on your time and investment.

If you are serious about it make sure you stick with it, work hard and have patience. Choose a niche or product you are interested in, this will help you stay motivated and write quality content on the subject. There's always something to learn and the industry moves at a rapid pace but if you are determined enough the sales will come!

  • I'm new to affiliate marketing. I just started this month but I have been studying it since last year. I started it yesterday and went to sleep. When I woke up, I made money worth $32.50 for 1 product sold. That was easy! LOL -- (not really if you consider the time that I dedicate in learning it). I hope to earn more. I'm currently creating 2 main websites and 6 mini sites. I think I know what I'm doing.

    Just a Quick Advice:

Do not buy things that a lot of people offer you. There are a lot of online sources which you can learn from.

Study the niche of the product that you want to promote. Observe your top competitors. How do they promote their products? How do they position their affiliate links and banners? How do their websites look? Once you do work homework - think about how you can create a better landing page, website, strategy, etc.

Of course you need to learn about keyword research, and a lot more. I'm not an expert though and I haven't proven anything yet-- just the $32.50 that I earned.

You can hire a mentor if you have the money - that should get you started really quickly. The important thing is to hire someone reliable, ideally, someone who has been doing this for a very long time.

I would personally look for a mentor with not less than 5 years of Internet marketing experience.

As for getting traffic and your monetization - It's up to you. If you are already doing good with some traffic generation method, stick with and try to fully learn it and master it.

You can build a squeeze page and get your traffic there, in order to build a list prior to marketing your chosen CB products to them - That's definitely what you should be doing. The fact is, if you don't have a list, you don't have a sustainable business.

You can also promote the products directly without building a list, but as I said, if you do, you'll be leaving some money on the table.

Once you get the hang of it, it's not that hard. Before I had done it myself, I had the same worries. The first step in the process is to find your niche. A niche is a group of people who are looking to solve a problem and willing to pay for a solution. The niche you're in determines what kinds of products you promote. Some examples are dating, weight loss, make money, video games, learn Spanish, gardening, pet care...The list goes on and on.

    Good luck,
    Joey
