Free classified ads for traffic to my website - Please help!

Hi,

I have seen on many websites that you can get lots of traffic with classified sites. Which one do you recommend?
Craigslist, Backpage, Kijiji, U.SFREEADS, Gumtree, Webleegs?

I would like to get traffic to my funny movie related picture site thefilmtroll dot com. Is this possible with these sites? If yes how could I do it properly?

    You would probably be flagged as spam on most of the sites you listed.

    An easy way you could drive traffic to your video site is to post videos on youtube, vimeo, etc with your link in the description, and your link watermarked in the video.

    Backpage and usfreeads are my favorites.

    Craigslist is the best classified in terms of traffic, but I do not even use them anymore, because it is more headache than it is worth with the ghosting, and flagging of ads.

    For image sites, you should be utilizing Reddit. I use it for a couple of my image heavy sites and it gives huge spikes in traffic. The only problem is that it usually doesn't generate to long term visitors. If you post a picture that goes viral you can get some great traffic.

    I have not had any success with classified ads myself, but if you had to try go for craigslist (I haven't tried anything else). But for funny pictures site, try driving traffic with social media websites like Facebook.
