Facebook, twitter, or Google + for a website?

I've tried being active on all those platforms, and it just isn't working out. I can't manage all three, plus the blog they're for. So I've decided for now to only use one and constantly keep that one updated. Question is: Which one would be best?

Well, in terms of number of users Facebook is number one so if you want to reach out to a broader audience then go with Facebook.

Just curious....why can't you manage all 3? Use some automation tools like Hootsuite or SocialOopmph. I think you need to manage all 3, outsource what you don't like to do. I do think Facebook is the post powerful to manage but others very close 2nd.

Facebook might be a good choice, if you do have to choose among these three. But it also depends on what you are trying to sell. Do you think people who will be seeing your links on FB are the right audience. Sometimes, twitter has better converting audience.

But as suggested above, try to keep up with all three.

Since you didn't reply to my post I will assume it jokes, I would do both facebook and twitter with twitter being tops. But as someone pointed out I would do all three. just cut down the time you spend on each one.

It really depends what your goal is -
      * If you are doing it because you want to really engage with people and to get direct traffic to your site I would definitely go with Facebook
      * If you are doing it for the rankings - concentrate on Google + and use automation tools like Hootsuite, Onlywore or SocialOopmph to post automatically via an RSS feed you create and then you won't have to do anything almost.

      Good Luck

All these social media sites are good for promoting your business.Just analyze which website is giving you more traffic. However its good to keep your presence on three of the websites.

    • There's nothing wrong with keeping your own blog and posting each entry to all three of these sites. (In fact, many free tools are out there that will do this very thing for you.)

You just need to prioritize your focus on each channel and use automation where it makes sense. For example (I say this a lot) Twitter can be a time sucking nightmare so consider scheduling your tweets in advance -- especially if you are curating content. Then respond live to anyone who engages you.

The best way I've found to organically grow followers and branding is to participate in Twitter chats -- there's one for just about every interest. Here's a good resource for finding the right ones.

Just a couple of hours a week dedicated to these chats can be really worth your while.

    Regards,
    jim
