Because of the updates to the search engines, spinning articles no longer works. It holds no value and is a complete waste of time. Instead, focus on either writing or outsourcing unique, quality content that offers value to the end user. This is the ultimate goal of any search engine, so if you do this, the updates will actually help you.

Second best to writing unique articles is completely rewriting your old or PLR articles. The problem with spinning is that when you reach an acceptable uniqueness percentage the article is no longer readable by humans...

Many people rewrite plr articles. This is a little easier than writing them from scratch. You can use plr articles to make up a free report or mini ecourse to help yu build a list rather than spinning them for article directories. You an also use plr articles if you are interested in getting more content quickly.

I agree that original contents are more effective. You can do this by doing a serious research on the subject you want to write about. And if you do research the subject that you understand it by heart, creating several articles around the subject is possible and you can post it in different sites. This way, you do not need to spin an article because you already have continuous flow of articles to write. Takes time though, I agree.

I did it with one of my sites - worked amazingly for months (ranked number one for two key terms) and then I got hammered.

It seems article spinning no longer works. Google can catch it these days.

No; it isn't right. You've been misinformed.

For the most part (to put it mildly), article spinning is pointless nonsense which can have only a negative impact on the benefits of submitting articles. It's based on a fundamental misunderstanding. It's entirely unnecessary.

For people open-minded enough to read them, these six items explain much more, at greater length and in greater detail.
    • this post explains the benefits of spinning
    • the first half (or so) of this thread contains a good discussion of what you can gain from spinning articles
    • the advice on this subject given by so many people throughout most of this thread has been really helpful to many people here
    • on the meaning and significance of "duplicate content", in this context, this little post from expert article marketer Anne Pottinger includes direct quotations from Google's WebMaster Central Blog on the subject (not easy to find a more authoritative source than that!
    • this little article is also a very useful and accurate explanation of the subject
    • this post, and its links, explain in detail the closely related subject of how article directories really work and why they exist

    Hi,

Try to go original...BUT if you must spin...prepare for the big G to eventually find you out. Some say that Google is not able to see all that is out there. The problem for those that spin is that Google is now a very keen observer of poor content (spun content) and will take proactive action to remove such. Be wary of spun content!

    cheers, Patrick

Rewriting your articles manually is a better alternative. If you use a software, your articles will come out unreadable and will be of no value to readers.

Yes, I agree! Rewriting your articles manually is a lot better. But, it's time consuming yet rewarding.

But what about if you are targeting for volume spun version, still spinning syntax is the answer, only multi level spinning and not the word/phrase level only.

The next challenge is it's readability. If you don't have time to do it, have it done by experts.

Indeed, spinning on the word level only really hurts your backlinking campaign. Once you produce multiple spun version out of the light spinning, it's uniqueness will go down. Specially, if you are targetting article directories for your submission. If you want to be safe, use multi level spinning and target 80+% of uniqueness between each spun articles. Or, to be 100% safe, use a one on one spinning/rewriting. The downside of the later, it's time consuming specially if you are targetting multiple directories.
