Building traffic to a fledgling authority site

I started a website 2 months ago that consists of WordPress and a forum. Currently, I have about 18 articles on the site and a reasonable number of posts in the forum. I'm spending about $700 per month, on both article writing and forum posting (to make it look busy!).

The idea is to grow the content with good quality articles written by native speaking writers.

Since the site structure is done and my article writers are up and running, I need to start my traffic generation strategy. But where to start? I could spend money on hiring someone to help. Or buy software. Or look for a course somewhere.

Is there anyone here who has some good suggestions on what strategy I might follow?

Thanks,

Dave

Jesus Crying Christ, $700 a month. You must be passionate about your vision for the future my friend. $700 put into advertising can make you a hell of a lot of money with consistent leads coming into your business.

They need to have something to come into, hence the content development. I like to think long term.

Drive ALL traffic to your forum. Continue to make it look busy. Make it easy for people to sign up. Make your forum your homepage. Do all kinds of marketing strategies to lead people to your site. Add adsense, your own products, or affiliate products to your forum.
