Default Squeeze page after sales letter test results thread..

Hey All,

I remember reading a long thread a while back where the author suggested first sending your visitors to your sales letter instead of the squeeze page. The idea was to remove any roadblocks and just let the visitor first purchase your product, and then as they leaving hit them with the squeeze page. According to the authors test results this led to more sales AND more opt ins (from what I remember).

I was just trying to find this thread... anyone remember what it was?

I'm going to try this out on my site and post back the results.

Thanks,

Ryan

Hi Ryan,

Can't help you with finding the thread (do a search?) but I can say that our testing has shown that for some of our sites having a straight sales page (no squeeze page) ultimately led to FEWER optins and MORE sales. So we ditched the squeeze page approach and now have straight sales letters on those sites.

There is no hard and fast rule. It really depends on your niche/target market. Which means... ya gotta test.
